I understand that Disney Souviner Mugs can be purchased
and are good for unlimited fill ups. Is this fillup just good
where the mug is purchased or can it be filled at any
fountain shop on Disney World Property?

Only good at the resort it is purchased at, with the exception of the water park mug, which is good only at waterparks.

Of course that doesn't stop some people, you know the ones, they load up their quadruple wide stroller and put the kids in their heelys and then pool hop around the resorts, after parking at CR, so they don't have to pay to park, while smoking in non-designated areas. . .:stir:

Usually each resort has it's own mug style with the resort name on it....but....this year they all have the same design for the "Year of a Million Dreams" promo. I don't see how they would know or care if you filled up at another resort if you were there. As long as it's the same trip it shouldn't matter!:thumbsup2
Just as long as you are not "pool hopping" at the time....LOL!!!

I was told when I called you can use the mug at all resorts, just not at the parks.

Dont forget AK has animal topper refillable mugs. The cost is $6.79 and the refills are $.93. Hope this helps.

The new mugs don't have the resort name but say something about year of a million dreams 2007. To my understanding, they can be refilled at any resort soda fountain. I have also read that they are only supposed to be used during your current trip, but somewhere else it said that they were good all year. I always refilled before I left the resort in the morning and kept the mug clipped to my camera bag at the parks so I could refill without going back to the room at the end of the day. I could also use it at the park to transfer drinks from a paper cup to the insulated mug.

Unforatunately, you can only use your mug at the resort hotel where it was purchased, not "anywhere on WDW property."

We don't buy one because we're in the parks so much - we only really eat breakfast at the resort restaurant (and sometimes just have a quick breakfast in our room instead!) and no other meals at the hotel, so it doesn't make sense to get the mugs. If you're at your resort a lot, then it makes a lot more sense.

Plus, if you just use it in the morning, you have to either lug it around with you all day or bring it back to your room before you go to the parks. We tried it one year at POR, but it seemed like a hassle to bring it back to the room every time.

(By the way, some people seem to be assuming the OP was trying to get away with something -- it seems to me they are only asking a question to clarify the rules. When you hear "unlimited refills," you could easily assume that it's anywhere on WDW property.)

Actually you CAN use them at any of the resorts. That is one of the reasons why they went to the one style of mug. It is too bad, because those resort specific mugs were great. They even said that the new mugs were easier for the customer because they could be used if you were splitting time and switching from one resort to another.

Everyone, many thanks for the many replies, We definitly plan to get them as we love to use them for Soda's or Ice Water while in the room. As to other places, we'll just see when we get there what the rules are that day.

I can tell you that as of right now all the Resorts expect for the Contemporary and Coronado Springs are not selling the current YOAMD mugs. The reason for the Contemporary is because the Food & Fun Center has closed for good and the temporary cs location is not selling any mugs. At Corondao Springs the locations where guests purchase food and fountain drinks are not owned by WDW, so they are the only Resort using their own Resort logo mug. Because of that the YOAMD mugs can not be used there, however at all the other Resort cs location the YOAMD mugs can be used there.
