Last time I booked, the best combo for me was the coupon from the Entertainment book for $15 off and the Disney Club code. The code I used though expires 12/31/02, and the new Disney Club code isn't giving as good a discount.

Any ideas which are the best combos now for the best discount? Thanks!!!:teeth:

We just booked @ National with info from www.mousesavers.com Use the combo rate code-NHOL with contract code5901600. I believe you'll need your Disney Club card at the counter to receive the contract code price.

Mark&Sandra--was this for a ressie in 2002? I'm in the same boat as Cindala, I can't get a good rate for Jan 2003.

Chance's Mom- Yes my ressie is for 1/17/03-1/26/03 for a full size car from National @ MCO. Base rate of 288.00, less discount of 57.60 sub-total 230.40, with taxes and fees it's 291.82. I used codes stated above and I have a printout of my rates to bring to counter. What rate does your ressie give you? If you use the newer Disney Club contract code it doesn't give you as good of a discount as the old one given above. As for expiring codes, if they are excepting them online, I would use them and print out my ressie to bring to the pick-up counter. The contract code for the Disney Club does not appear on your printout. only the (less discount amount) As long as your DC membership is current what else could they need for you to bring (no coupons needed for DC contract # to be used).

I was playing with codes last night. The old Disney Club code and the Emerald Club contract code give you the same base rate. The new Disney Club code was a higher rate.

For me, the best I can do is with the DC old number (discount is on the base rate and not at the bottom) and then the "one weekend day" coupon from DC. It ends up being more than my $20 off coupon.

Rates are still high, though and for 8 days, its still $224 for me for a Full size on the EA.

But I book back in February and my rate is $205 for 8 days; still higher than last year but I haven't been able to lower it since.

I do have $185 Intermediate at Dollar with an upgrade coupon but my husband wants to stick with National....

Good luck!

I checked earlier this morning, and using the old DC code and NHOL, I get about $350 for 8 days for a full size!!!! Way too much!! This July for the exact same car I paid $162. Maybe a BJ's code is the way to go. They have temporary 3 month memberships they keep sending me in the mail.

Something very wierd is going on at National.

I just tried again with the DC code, then the AP code, and then no code. Guess what? All three came back with the same rate and not one of them showed any discount taken off.

Has anyone had this problem too?!?
Now the rate is $403 for 8 days in July!*&#*!!!

I tried using the new DC code and the rate wasn't any different than if I used no code.

Then I used the NHOL code with the old DC code and the $20 coupon for Entertainment. I got a rate of $176.00 including taxes for a full-size, EA, 9 days at LAX. This is about $75.00 less than what I got with the new DC code.

I just booked on the 23rd. For full size rental for dates of 12/7 thru 12/14 I got a rate of 221.65, including tax. This includes an extra day because we are returning car 3 hours later than picking up.

I played around with different rates and codes and this was best I could come up with. Used EA login, DC contract # from Mousesavers (old one) and DC coupon # from the DC website. The new DC contract # that appears on the site does not give much of a discount at all, so make sure you use the one from Mousesavers.
