I have asked this question before ,but I'm hopeful that others users have had similar situations to mine.
I am hoping to extend the expiry date by about 1 month.

I just recently had the same problem. I called SW Customer Service (not sure of the number....it is not a toll free number, however) and explained I had Ticketless Travel which needed to be used by end of July, however, we weren't traveling until October. They give a six month extension, however, you must take paper vouchers for the extension (they'll send them to you).
Then, you complete your new travel and send them the paper vouchers along with your completed confirmation documents on your travel and they will credit your cc with amount on your vouchers. Since we haven't travelled yet until October I haven't completed the process, but, they did send me the paper vouchers about two weeks ago. So, hopefully it will work because I have $274 in vouchers to be used.

I had also read on their website that you can pay $50 and extend them for a year. Not sure if this is for the new or the old RR tickets.

I think above poster was asking about Ticketless Travel Funds. However, I didn't know you could also extend Rapid Rewards for a fee......I'll have to go to the site and check it out.

I had some funds that expired in February and I was able to get a six-month extension to the end of August. I was sent a voucher that I just submitted with the paperwork from my completed May trip. I was told that the voucher could not be used online and that if you wanted to purchase new tickets with it, you had to go to the airport.

So....just to be clear. Its OK to pay up front for the trip...then send your voucher in for credit......but you cannot use the voucher to buy tickets online ?

Yes, I did this a year ago. Completed my trip and sent the paper vouchers in with my travel receipts and they credited my credit card within about a week. Gotta love Southwest.

Actually you don't even need to deal with voucher or sending in.

We had ours extended 6 months (were supposed to expire march, we traveled in May) All you do is call customer service and open up a case # for the extension. Then you book your new fare, however (on-line, ding, in airport, whatever). After you travel you call customer service back and they credit you back for the flight taken.

Worked like a charm.

That's exactly what I was told by the Refund Department a couple of months ago. My friend and I are going to Disney September 19th, but I had to use my TTF by September 12th. Even though it is a hassle to have to buy the tickets again, I don't know of any airline as forgiving as SW. :Pinkbounc

I know..............isn't SW just the greatest......IMO they've also got the best customer service in the industry. It seems I've never come across a SW gate agent, customer service rep, etc. who seemed to be unhappy with what they are doing.......unlike many other airlines. So, SW has to be doing something right........it appears they've got satisfied customers and satisfied employees.

I had a credit that ran out at the end of July. I called and they said that once this travel was completed I could call them and they would credit my credit card with the amount that I still had with them.

I just tried calling now and the office is closed. I'll call again tomorrow.

Yes...I just sent in my voucher with my completed travel info. I was informed by SWA that if I did this I could get the funds credited back to my CC. The customer service rep also told me that the voucher could not be used to book travel online. It could only be used to purchase tickets at the airport. Glad to hear that you can now call and have the credit applied. It definitely would have saved me some time.

Thanks guys....You've all been very helpful.
I now feel better about delaying the expiry.
