I saw the rumors awhile back about the lights- haven't looked too much into it I always figure it hasn't happened until it's happened I am still hoping it was just all talk!

I looked up the rumours too, looks like Theresa. Possibility of them moving to Epcot? Weird...

Not sure if we will get to see them. Because we are going to FANTASMIC and that starts at 6:30. Maybe after the show - we can walk through....

You should have lots of time. We weren't there when they turned them on last time, we just walked around afterwards and there was still music and snow and it was still magical!

Not rushing to TSMM first thing in the morning seems so strange! I mean, that's kind of a tradition with that park. It's good to hear Disney confirm the DIS rumors; hopefully now that you guys can use both systems, you'll have a much better experience with it then last time.

It is going to be strange. I feel like I want a button or a sign that says "FP+ = no need to stampede" hahaha
Johnny's friend just got back yesterday and apparently when he checked in, he was given his magic band and a kttw without even mentioning it. That sounds good!

Hahaha! I love that gif with Woody and the Shark when he does that impression. Good idea contacting Disney to ask them the question about FP+ and regular FP. When all else fails at Sci Fi, order the burger. It's good. I can't comment on anything else though. Haha.

Johnny was feeling some anxiety over the issue and contacting disney made him a little more confident that things will work out haha

Happy belated Anniversary and Thanksgiving!! Your plans for DHS look great, and it is nice to not have to make that mad dash for TSM as soon as you get there. Your photo of the Osborne Lights is gorgeous!! The thought of them not being there anymore really makes me sad

Not running for TSM will be really weird! I guess that will be one of the best parts of FP+!
I hope the lights will move to Epcot rather than just go away... I'm sure they wouldn't get rid of an attraction like that though!

Just so you know the lights are generally lit an hour after park close.... And the PP stick around for a bit

Well hello again! I can't believe it's been 10 days since my last post. I keep promising to get back more often but never seem to make it.

Anyway, I'm here now! Let's do a turbo update, shall we?

First things first. We are just 15 days away from our trip.

15 DAYS PEOPLE!!

That means that in one more sleep, it will be a simple, tiny, insignificant little two weeks until I am on my way to Walt Disney World.

In other news, I forgot to get a picture of the Blanket Fort before it came down. As I was cleaning it up I remembered and, well... this is it folks.

... What was left of it. We will no doubt do it again, hopefully I'll get it so awesome that I'll have to share. Oscar is glad to have his favourite chair back:

I recently had to reformat my computer and the only music I've got back on it is all my Christmas music. So guess what I'm listening to!

I don't mean to rush things, but I really don't like Hallowe'en and can't wait until it's over and I can concentrate on Christmas properly. Not only because I love Christmas, but because our trip will really kick off the season early for us.

We've checked so many things off our lists that I don't know what to do with myself! I've got everything done! We did decide to order the Photopass+ CD afterall. That's done. Got my contacts, as I mentioned, along with some new glasses:

So let's get moving with the Day-to-Day plans again!


Day 5
November 16

The day begins however we feel it needs to -- that is to say if we need sleep, we sleep! If we want to explore, we explore! It's an open day.

We have planned nothing for the morning and early afternoon. This means that we can do whatever we wish -- if we need more park time, we can. Some DTD Disney time? No problem! A BOG lunch? Let's go! A completely open, unplanned morning and afternoon.

Well, almost unplanned.

No, no. Just one planned thing.

Any guesses?

Just kidding. It's a meal!

T-Rex Cafe Lunch  3:30 PM

I'm really excited for this! It's a first for us too. Kind of an odd time. The plan is to have either a nice big brunch, or a few snacks to hold us over. We didn't want to eat any later because we have big, big plans for the evening.

Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party  8:00 PM

A late add-on for us, one we were going to skip but I'm glad we changed our minds. I do enjoy this event so much, and hope to get to see some Glow With the Show action!







And that's it! Exactly two plans for this day. It's going to be a catch-up, cool-down, rest-easy, surprise kind of day. I can't wait to see what it brings!

I hope to get on a few times before we go again, but the odds are against me getting on more than once. But a girl can wish!

Oh cool! T-Rex and a Dessert Party! We did the Wishes Dessert Party last year and it was great to have a prime spot to view the show -especially Tinkerbelle. A few treats thrown in weren't bad either.

Too bad we didn't get to see the fort! I've been thinking about a fort myself, just for fun.

I'm starting to get that antsiness too (is that a word??) that the trip is so soon... but still so far... For example, in three weeks, I will have already been back home for a night! But on the other hand, my friend will still go on her WEEK LONG honeymoon a week from now, and be back before I leave! So it's too soon, but too far!

I don't think I'm going to get DTD time this trip, which is actually a bit disappointing. I just don't want to take the time to get on the bus and go, and I have every night planned at a park. The only way I'd go is if everything was too crowded and I just got a whim to go shopping elsewhere. It's too bad, as I like the ambiance of DTD - just not enough time this trip. I guess I might consider in on Saturday, if I get tired of being at a park.

So great to have a free day. That freedom I'm sure will be filled with something great!

I don't think I'm going to get DTD time this trip, which is actually a bit disappointing. I just don't want to take the time to get on the bus and go, and I have every night planned at a park. The only way I'd go is if everything was too crowded and I just got a whim to go shopping elsewhere. It's too bad, as I like the ambiance of DTD - just not enough time this trip. I guess I might consider in on Saturday, if I get tired of being at a park.

Thank you! I really like my glasses but there are three times I wish I didn't wear them -- when swimming, when I come in a warm house in the winter and they fog up, and when I'm in Disney, but then I wear my contacts so I can wear sunglasses. (I won't tell Johnny, but he thinks the same haha)

So great to have a free day. That freedom I'm sure will be filled with something great!

Our trip is an anniversary trip too (even though our fifth wedding anniversary is next week). January is just when we could both get off work. It was pretty much a no go for Jeremy to get off for this time of year. So it is a "happy anniversary and congrats you made it through the holidays!" trip.

Having open plans on Day 5 is a smart idea. I'm sure by then you'll want the freedom to do whatever you want and only worry about the 2 reservations. Plus, if you need more time to explore AKL you will have it.

Hehehe when I see posts online about slowing down on Christmas until thanksgiving is over I like to remind everyone that my thanksgiving was over long ago! :rofl: (the benefits of being farther north -- shorter days = earlier harvests = earlier thanksgiving = Halloween is my only obstacle to christmas! )
New glasses can be the worst to get used to. Luckily I find my new ones pretty comfy.
