What's the Catch? Direct Travel

I just got this on my work fax.

4 days/3 nts in Orlando with free bfst each day
3 days/2 nts in Cocoa Beach with free bfst each day
4 days/3 nts cruise on the Imperial Majesty or Discovery Ships to the Bahamas all meals and non-alcoholic drinks included.
4 nts at the Island Palms Resort in the Bahamas. Although I couldn't understand why I would need a hotel in the Bahamas if I am on a cruise ship.
All for $169 per person double occupancy.

I called just for fun to ask "what's the catch" Of course they wanted my charge card so I played dumb and told them I didn't have one. Then they asked for my checking account to charge that and I told them I had an account in a credit union that didn't allow telephone charges to be made.
They told me they would hold this reservation for me if I gave them my name and phone number and they will mail me all the information and I can send a money order to them. No problem, I can do that, I have call blocking so I won't get any calls from soliciters.
Can anyone tell me what is the catch is? I know it is one of those sounds too good to be true offers but they aren't taking anything from me and of course I woudn't give them anything until I checked with the BBB or the Dis boards.
Anyone ever hear of them. They did give me the company website www.DTTvacations.com but they don't have any information on the website other than the very basic stuff.

I got something like this once (not from this company) and after some digging learned that it was a very high pressure vacation club/real estate sales promo. Basically they were giving you time at all of the options available through their club and hitting you up at every stop to buy in. I learned that the sales tactics are less than honorable and extreeeeeeemly high pressure. Also, some people reported that once they paid the initial fee, then declined the sales pitches, unauthorized charges for membership fees, etc. started appearing on the card and it took months to set it all right again. That may not be what this is, but I'd steer clear.

Could be lots of "catches". If they wouldn't provide any details over the phone unless you gave them a credit card or checking acct number, my advice is to stear clear!

I'd guess that at a minimum, there are severe restrictions on what hotels are included and when you can stay.

Also, FWIW, the price seems high to me. $169 per person for double occupancy is $338. Assuming tax is included (and who knows), that's $112.67 per night for the Orlando stay. Lots and lots of pretty nice hotels/resorts in Orlando that have better rates than that and I suspect the same is true for the other options mentioned. Do your own research after you get the info.

In all of my research into cruises, I have never heard of Imperial Majesty or Discovery Ships. It could be like those "cruise" ships I saw on Dateline once that advertised cheap cruises. They were tiny and NASTY!! Not "real" cruise ships like you think of like Carnival, etc.

That Orlando hotel could be anywhere in the area, and it could be an old, yucky place.

Do some big time checking before giving them anything. I've heard that most of those things you receive by fax are scams, anyway.
