to book a stay at Fort Wilderness for Dec 27 to Jan 2, 2004?
Is it too late? Can you get the 7 for 5 if staying there? We have friends who will have there RV with them, but the others will need to rent cabins. I've never stayed there, so all help would be appreciated!

I would call CR and ask about the different discounts and packages you can purchase for your stay............I'm not much help with the cabins, as we have a camper and always stay in a site.

Discounts during that time of year are hard to come by, but sometimes available.

The 7/5 deal ends in early November. The dates you are looking at are the most popular and busiest times at WDW. It might be hard to get something for those dates, even booking 6+ months in advance. You may be able to get a AAA discount.

In January there are usually specials or discounts.

Also check the Annual pass rate. We always stay at the cabins and have never paid rack rate. We have gone in Jan, Feb, July Aug, Oct, Nov. I have never gone in Dec. So I am not sure of the discounts available at that time.

If you're heart is set on the cabins (and why wouldn't it be?! ), I'd make the ressie asap. You can always search out the deals later. That time of year is one of the busiest. Start with AAA, look into an AP. Book now, though. Have fun!
