What's the best way to search for ADR?

I had been searching each day by the "Breakfast, lunch, dinner" option but then was told by someone, things don't always show up. I put it to the test and sure enough. A reservation for 11:20 at Tuskerhouse never showed up when I searched under the 3 general meal times but it showed up when I selected 11:00am. Am I going to have to search every hour of every day? Am I better off calling?
Thanks!

I'd love to know as well. I've been searching "dinner" with no luck so far, going to switch to a time and see if my luck changes.

What I've learned is that the general categories (b'fast, lunch and dinner) do not capture all of the time slots available. I have been searching by time slot since I figured that out, but you don't have to search each one as it pulls a couple of hours before and a couple of hours after what you selected.

Ugh I had been search breakfast lunch and dinner as well. I really wish you could search a restaurant by day not in little slots.

I would definitely search for a specific time (the program then checks the 3-4 hour window surrounding that time). When I made our ADRs for our recent trip, I thought NOTHING was available at 8 am because I was searching "breakfast", but when I actually switched to searching for 8 am, I got Tusker, Crystal Palace, and H&V.

For example, if you search "breakfast", the system will look at the 6:30-10:00 time frame. So, I will search for "breakfast" and 11:00. Searching for 11:00 will pull all times between 9:30 and 12:00. Now, you have all your times covered with two searches (no need to search every hour).

The "dinner" search looks at 5:00-10:00. However, many places open at 4:00pm for dinner. So, you would need to search twice again, one for dinner and one for 4:00. Then, you will have all the time slots covered.

What worries me is that the PP wanted a 8:00 am breakfast. That time slot should have been covered under a "breakfast" search.

I always search for breakfast/lunch/dinner, but also for different times depending what meal I need (8 AM or 11 AM for breakfast, 11:30 or 2 PM for lunch and early and late times for dinner. It is more work, but also more effective. Searches just for breakfast/lunch/dinner miss those off times, and searches for specific times can also miss some hours (i.e. if you look for dinner at 6 PM, you would not see available times after 8 PM - I think the system will search 2 hours before and 2 hours after your set time).
