Hi, we are planning on going to an 8am little ones magic hour in MK - and I have a 10:40 breakfast at Chef Mickey's -- should I try and change this time if possible to later? The operator told me it would only take 10 minutes by monorail to get there, is that correct? Should I just plan on 2 hours for the little one magic hour, then we will leave -- and come back after we eat breakfast -- seems like alot of running around.
Maybe I should try and get a lunch somewhere else, if so, can someone give me good places that would be quick and easy to get to?
looking for any options really - we already have a crystal palace reservation for dinner earlier the same week.

Thanks
Kristie

Oh, Also, is the monorail free to use? or do you pay ect?

You can take the monorail, but I say just walk. By the time you walk all the way out and to the right and then potentially wait for the monorail you could have been there already had you walked!

The monorail is free, but I agree that by the time you've gone to the monorail station and waited for the next one, you could walk from the gates of MK to the Contemporary-its a 5 minute walk. I don't think its too much to-ing and fro-ing. if anything its the easiest out of park restaurant to get to-hope you have a great meal, twirl those napkins!

As others have said, the quickest way to get there is probably to walk. However, if you have little ones and you're not pushed for time, it might be a good time of day to try and get a seat up-front on the monorail as there wouldn't (in theory) be many people leaving MK at that time of the day).

Thanks Everyone, I think my son would love to ride this thing (me too).
Would we be okay leaving then at 10am, or could it be later?
is that enough time to really have for the little ones extra hour, or am I being stupid by leaving so early for Chef Mickeys (or anything really and missing some good time there?

Thanks again
Kristie

I'd say you could leave at 10:15a and still get there for the ADR a few minutes early.

Have fun!

PS...the Little Ones Magic hour is only for an hour and only in Fantasyland...then the park opens to everyone at 9:00a. It still won't be too crowded; probably the crowds will pick up around 10:00a -10:30a so you'll be good to go to your breakfast.

Based on that, I made our breakfast reservations (at CP) for 9:20 AM. Does the LOMH go beyond 9 AM? Please advise.

Yes, I think 9:20 am is too early. You might be on a ride or interacting with a character and have to interrupt the fun for CM. My advice is to push your seatng to 9:45. The little one's hours usually end around 9:15 and never before 9 am. Then you get to enjoy both and relax.

OP: are you only doing one day of the parks? I think you should walk from MK to CM, and then take the monorail after. The monorail is a lot of fun but you have a full morning scheduled already.

And PS: thought I would also mention that you can ask the monorail driver if your family can sit up front. Very cool, and sometimes they give the kids certificates for being honorary drivers!
