What's The Best Price You Received In Concierge?

I have read reports that the AKL concierge is very good, and that price is great Flower. Only thing is that DH thinks it is too far from everything else!

November 2002 we got AP rates of $209/night Poly GV Concierge, and $239/night AK Concierge. There were both before taxes.

Last September we stayed at AKL concierge, rooms 6202 and 6203 as I recall, and got a rate of $150 a night each room, including taxes. We were comped concierge from our deluxe savannah view rooms due to there being a problem with construction on the savannah we were originally booked and the fact that my dad is in a wheelchair and Special services going above and beyond their call of duty!

cindala-

Honestly, when DH gets there- it's hard for me to get him to leave for almost ANY reason!! :teeth:

However, you could book a few nights and split your stay between a more 'happening' locale and AKL.

We'll be there for 3 nights in December, and then we move over to the Swan. DB and family is coming out for their very first WDW experience...... and I wanted somewhere with more diversions for them.

I will be taking them out to AKL while theyre here though....... we're going to do do the Christmas decorations tour.

Good luck!!!

Does the $289 figure inc. tax?

No, but I thought that was still a great rate considering the rack rate is around $455 to $500 I believe.:D

I would look at it this way...

If you want to relax (I mean truly relax) and be pampered take the cruise. There is nothing like the service you get on a cruise. It's like concierge no matter what level room you stay in.

If you are looking to be on the go, then go to the world. While you can relax at WDW, its just not the same level you get on a cruise. Plus there are always tons of activities to take part in on a cruise, so its not like the only thing you have to do is relax.

Either way I don't think you can go wrong.:smooth:

Let's see if I did the math right

3,200 for three (all over 12yo) includes Ultimate Park Hopper Pass
for 7 nights BC water view concierge

$390 for each person per pass = $1,170
Room Charge $2,030. for 7 nights (290 a night)

Is there any way to get an upgrade to Poly concierge if you booked the Land/Sea package?

Smlev, I did that for our trip. We were initially booked with a land/sea package, but for 2 rooms @ the Caribbean Beach, 2 rooms on the cruise for 5 of us. When the Fairy Tale Package came out, I rebooked it for 7 nights, and the only thing available was the Poly concierge Lagoon view for the 7 nights, and we are still going on the 3 night Wonder cruise with 2 connecting rooms! After reading all these cheap rates, did we get a good deal? We are paying $3,850 for all 5 of us for the 7 night pkg. at the Poly, lagoon concierge, with 7 days unlimited park passes. (Not including the 3 night Wonder cruise, that is $642/per adult, $230 for the 8 yr old) There are 3 adults, an 11 yr old and a 8 yr old. I think they consider our 11 yr old an adult?

:D

I stayed in the Wilderness Lodge concierge for 199 a night (before tax). It was great. It was in December so there were all the Christmas decorations and we had a view of the castle (concierge is 7th floor). The only problem is that when we left the hotel we'd feel like we were missing out on the great food :). We are trying the AKL concierge in November this year. It is more expensive, for 277 (tax included) for the AP rate. That is a bit much for me but I wanted to do the sunrise safari and I'd heard great things about AKL concierge. I booked a Grand Floridian concierge for 266 (pre-tax), the tower concierge (which I guess is less than the main building concierge) but we ended up changing to Lagoon view so maybe we'll try it another time. That was also an AP rate (as was the original Wilderness Lodge concierge stay last Christmas). Concierge is a blast :).

We paid $149.00 per night for two nights at WL in mid August, these were Fl Res rates. When we checked in, they offered us to stay on the concierge level for an add'l $60.00 per night...making it $209.00 per night....that included tax! Needless to say, we are hooked.
