I'm just now watching all the MJ video's on youtube... because when he was making most of them I was busy watching Guns-n-Roses and thinking I knew everything:headache:. I always appreciated his talent and now I'm really seeing how great he was. What's the best video? Were there songs that did not have a video? (He was quite the Hottie in some of these video's!!)
I only wish I would have realized I was a fan sooner :guilty:

"Thriller" is the BEST!!!

I also love "Scream" and "Smooth Criminal."

:cool1:

I also adore "They Don't Care About Us" and "Say, Say, Say"

The older ones are great...Beat It, Billie Jean and Thriller....but after watching all of the videos on tv this past week, I'm a big fan of Black or White and Remember the Time.

Thriller - I remember learning the dance steps with my BFF.

DH loves Remember The time.

Black or White so far is my fave. But I watched Have You Seen My Childhood... and it was just so touching and sad. I'm going to watch a couple that you all just mentioned. THANKS!

Ghosts -- unfortunately it never aired here until after he died. I also like Smooth Criminal -- great dance moves!

Childhood lyrics
Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for the world that I come from
'Cause I've been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart...
No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities...
'Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me...

People say I'm not okay
'Cause I love such elementary things...
It's been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood
I've never known...

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates in adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?

People say I'm strange that way
'Cause I love such elementary things,
It's been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood I've never known...

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like fantastical stories to share
The dreams I would dare, watch me fly...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me.
The painful youth I've had

Have you seen my Childhood...

:sad1: Sad song

Loved the ones from "Thriller" album. I did NOT like the morphing one-was it "Black or White"? Can't remember, but it creeped me out.

Thriller is the classic hands down.

I remember, in 1983, we moved to Florida. We signed up for cable tv, something that we hadn't had before. Up until now, I had to wait up late in the night to record Friday Night Videos. I was so very exited for MTV and anxiously awaited the cable guy to come and hook it up.

My brother made a new friend down the street. He came home one day telling me how awesome MTV was going to be. I asked him " do they have Michael Jackson "Say, Say, Say"??!!! His friend said that they played it at least 7x a day!!! Heaven!!!!! :cool1:

Anyone notice that Say Say Say isnt in any of the tribute shows or video runs this week?

VH1 had it in theirs yesterday.

I loved Beat It! They're all on On Demand and my son and I were up dancing to them yesterday. It's aMAzing how many of those dance steps I remember!! :lmao:

OMGosh - Thriller!!!!

I just put it on my ipod about 2 months ago :thumbsup2

As far as the actual video itself, I kind of like "Black or White." For its time, I think "Billie Jean" was really good and groundbreaking. For some reason, I was never a real bg fan of "Thriller", although I can certainly get its genius for that era. I just thought it was a bit campy, but you could see that MJ really had a good time with it.

Now, these are really any of my favorite songs, but I think the best videos. I really like the song "Smooth Criminal" but don't care much about the video.

Gosh, there were so very many good ones. He really was a talent.

If to pick one, probably Black or White.

OMG I just downloaded these videos from iTunes

Thriller
Beat It
Remember the Time

Ghost is a good song, but the video is SO LONG that I didnt get through it. I will have to hunt down the music only.

Thriller will probably be the best video ever made.......You just can't top it.

If anyone has tivo....in the showcase section....they have "tivo's top 20 videos....they are all MK...and you can download them to the tv:cool1:

I've been showing DD7 all the videos....I thought there was a good lesson.
Celebrities are REAL people with REAL problems.....Never assume that you can and actually want to do what they do.....It is usually not good.

She wanted to know why MK looks and sounds like a girl:rotfl:.....Another lesson......He looked just fine didn't he DD in his "off the wall album"....Notice how he was "obsessed with his looks and kept changing it....Not for the better though.

Sorry for the OT rant:goodvibes
