What is the best price you have ever gotten on a flight.

Where was it from?
Where was it to?
How long were you staying?
Where did you book the ticket through?
How far in advance did you purchase it?

As I said in that thread - for our trip this past Jan I paid $132 per adult round trip with all taxes and fees through orbitz.com. $528 for 4 adults from SFO to Orlando flying the red-eye Friday night to Miami with an hour lay over and a short flight to Orlando. I believe I booled it the previous July...

How about you?

Im Sept 2002 we paid $172 pp from Houston to MCO. It was with SWA and we bought them online during a sale. Next best was $176 also SWA in Dec 2002 for Dis Con II.

$80 r/t to Chicago from Columbus. Just booked it through the website :)

Quite a while ago, 1990 maybe, I got a great deal from Delta. My RT fare was $180 and kids under 17 could fly for $50 RT. So my daughter and I went from Boston to Orlando for $230 or $115 a piece.

More recently I've paid in the $160's several times for just me. Still a good deal.

The best deal I got going to Orlando was $130 back in 2000 flying on Delta out of Washington National Airport (DCA). I got that fare a month before the trip. I was able to get $173.50 last year flying out of BWI into Orlando on Delta.

Another deal I got was last March two weeks before a trip to L.A. I was able to book a Non stop flight to L.A. on United for $269 roundtrip and get this the trip was during Oscar weekend, I thought it was a steal! Oh and I flew out of Dulles.

Best Fare ever:

Boston to Las Vegas. $150 round trip, with one stop each way.

It was on Northwest, but I booked it on Expedia.

Best fare to Orlando from Boston, $149 round trip.

$72.00 R/T Louisville to Orlando on United. Booked through Travelocity.
We usually pay at least $150.00.
Of course, this was 2 months after 9/11.

$149.00 RT Non Stop DFW-MCO

Right after 9/11 we did get $149.00 RT Non Stop DFW-JFK but I think it was because I told them when I called I washad to go because I had family missing .

Best Price this year From Omaha To Orlando. $123.00

Thanks to airline for losing our luggage last year, we each got a free $100.00 Ticket. It would have been cheaper, but did't want to "screw" the free ticket up so we used a travel agent

In the fall of 2001 we got fares from Detroit to Orlando for early December at $135 pp. For 5 people that was an awesome savings over the standard $185-200 we usually have to pay. Unfortunately it was because of 9/11.
We booked this year going from Toledo to Sanford (our first non-stop--Trans Meridian Airlines, a charter company) at $194 per person. The best rates I was getting into MCO were over $230, and they are higher now! That is just insane. For one person, maybe, but not 5!

Southwest Airlines. Portland OR to Orlando, $82 each way! :earseek: No layovers, one stop in Kansas City to load people on/off and we were off again in 30 minutes. This flight was booked in September 2002 for a trip we took in Feb/March 2003. My parents got a $65 each way price for the same time frame flying from San Jose, CA to Orlando. Absolutely crazy!

Boston to Orlando Round Trip on Delta...$157.00. We bought the tickets asap for our dates, which was August 01. We flew over July 4th weekend(Wed-Sun) 2002, so I expected it to be a lot more.

$49 each way (minus taxes) from BWI to MCO. Great deal!! Airtran

This thread is too depressing...I'm trying to book from Newark to Orlando in June/July and prices are out of this world! Oh how I long for those days when 2 of us could fly for under $300 round trip!

$80 roundtrip Reagan Nat'l Airport to Orlando with a layover in JFK. Don't remember the airlines, but it was a result of a Priceline bid. I couldn't believe it when I saw my bid was accepted. The year was 2000.

I think it was in January of 2001, we paid $108.50 each roundtrip Hartford to Orlando. I don't recall which airline - I think it was either Delat or US Air, and it was for nonstop flights, staying Saturday to Saturday. We booked it only a couple of weeks in advance - saw the sale and decided to go.

This past September, we got $111 each RT on SW from Hartford to Orlando, nonstop flights. I think we booked about 1 -1 1/2 months in advance - again, we saw the sale on air and decided to go.
