What's the best counter service restaurant in DHS?

Sunset Market is a place near RnR and ToT where they have several eating places....a lot of outdoor seating .....a lot like an outdoor market. There are several eating establishments so there is a variety to choose from. I THINK my fav was named something like Catalina Eddie's which had a yummy Italian sub, but the others in the fam could choose from Pizza, chicken, Hamburgers, etc.
Lots of selection. But the actual eating places are named seperately and that is how they are listed under "Menus".
Hugs,
Mary

I second that one....where is Sunset Market? We usually eat burgers at the Backlot. This trip though we have a really early dinner at 4pm at 50's primetime so we need to find a really early lunch.

sherabby - not sure what makes up your family...but we have 3 teens.

We eat a light bfast at the resort. Head straight to TSM, ride, amble back went through Walt Disney area....then got to Sunset Market right as we were ready for lunch, rode RnR, Fast passed ToT and ate in between.

Worked perfect - because we had an early dinner....3p as I recall at H & V Fantasmic pkg.....

I have one 8 year old son who doesn't care much for DHS at all! I'll probably spend most of our day in the playground that day and hopefully the Toy Story ride! We never even tried it last trip. My ds gets motion sick and he was worried about riding it. I think he will be fine though so we will try this year.

The Turkey Foccicia or Black Forest Ham Sandwich at Starring Rolls is the best CS items at DHS.

It's like no one knows they serve lunch here.

Most think its just breakfast items (which they do serve in the a.m and are yummy too).

I've always enjoyed the ABC Commissary. My wife and I usually get ugly betty cheeseburgers with fries and a strawberry parfait.

It's a super-filling meal, and I've always thought the burgers were pretty tasty, and fitting with the "cafeteria" thing they've got going on.

Keep an eye out, I hear they are opening a new healthy-foods stand near Toluca Legs in the near future.

I agree. This is the best CS in DHS. The sandwiches are huge, packed with meat and veggies, topped off with flavorful condiments. Very few people stop there for more than a cookie or pastry. When we were there, they made the sandwiches fresh. Much better than the fast food elsewhere in the park. This is as good as alot of deli's I frequent at home in Chicago. It's not Perry's, but it is awesome.

We have never been fortunate enough to have a good counter service experience at DHS. Never. Not in 5 years and as many visits. We like to get there early and ride ToT and RnR as many times as we can then head over to Epcot for lunch, usually Sunshine Seasons.

This is exactly what we do, except we go to either the French bakery or Tangerine Cafe. Another thing we do is run over to a resort food court on our DS days. We like the Pepper Market as CSR and it's not too far.

The only places we'll eat at DS is Mama Melrose or Brown Derby and of course neither of them are CS.

We had a pretty good meal at what used to be Toluca Legs Turkey Co. I think they changed the name now to Fairfax Faire or something like that. It is right across from the entrance to TOT, near RNR. I'll be doing a review soon with pictures if you'd like to check it out.

This is why we always rent a car. The convenience of stopping off anywhere we like for a quick meal. My kids are Earl of Sandwich freaks, so being able to zip over there and grab sandwiches between parks or other activities is a must!
