What's the best character meal you've been to?

I love Crystal Palace..always get big hugs from Tigger...I love the breakfast pizza!

I also loved the Supercalifragalistic breakfast..The Mad Hatter was awesome! We went for my BFF's hubby's b-day and they brought him a cupcake. The Mad Hatter put the Mickey from his cupcake on his nose & said "Look a hidden Mickey!" he was hilarious!

I've been to many of the character breakfasts since we usually like to do one each trip.

My favorite I would have to say is Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. I love the theme with all the characters in their swimsuits. It's also smaller and a little more quiet then some of the other breakfast buffets...so there's better character interaction. Plus, the food is really good.

Foodwise? Cape May Cafe

Characterwise? Princess Breakfast in Norway, we went twice and both times all the Princesses went over the top to entertain my little niece....they spent lots of time with her and hugs and kisses and pictures and everything....priceless

We really like Tuskar house. We always think the food and character interaction is great.

Food wise- 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace have been our fave breakfasts. Akershus is the only one we've liked for lunch and dinner, but we also haven't done a ton of character lunches and dinners.

Character wise- it's luck and depends on what you're looking for. With the exception of one character meal (I'll get to that next), we've had great character experiences at Akershus, CRT, 'Ohana, 1900PF, Chef Mickey's, Hollywood & Vine, and Crystal Palace.

Tusker House is the only character breakfast we did not enjoy. We had an 8:10a adr yet the food looked and tasted like it had been sitting for a while, the service was spotty, and the characters were all lack luster when we went.

Character Interaction: Akerhus, hands down. I get teary just thinking about how fabulous they all were with DD.:goodvibes

We have done them all!:rotfl: But like the food at Akesrhus best for either bkfst or lunch! 2nd would be CRT for Bkfst! A close 2nd would be CP for bkfst or lunch! Our least favorite is Chef Mickeys!

We loved the stepsisters at Park Fare and that is our favorite experience ever. We also liked the Tusker House breakfast a lot and plan to do it again. Our experience at Akershus was also very good, and you can't match it for the Princess addicted. The Park Fare Breakfast also had fantastic character interaction, the Mad Hatter is fantastic.

Food wise, we were happy with all three as well, Park Fare was the best overall across the family's votes. I am partial to the many different herrings at Akershus, but not everyone is. Tusker house is typical breakfast buffet, but solidly prepared.

The very best was Chef Mickey's in 1999. CM has really gone downhill over the years in quality of food and value for what you spend.

In more recent trips, we have great experiences at the Crystal Palace and the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Both were pleasant and fun with nice food. :)

Ironically, the dinner we had at 1900 PF was one of our worst dining experiences ever in WDW. We were given a rickety table squeezed next to a service door by a very rude hostess, plus the food was really awful.

We have done them all and absolutely love 1900 park fare. The interaction with the step sisters and step mother is great! They always play their parts perfectly!

my first thought when I read this ? Tusker House. We had such a blast and the food was fantastic.

Second would be 1900 PF (dinner) for the character interaction. Absolutely the most fun ever. :thumbsup2

Third would be Crystal Palace. You just can't beat eating in Hundred Acre Wood with Winnie the Pooh and the gang. Nothing beats a hug from Pooh. (except maybe a hug from Eyeore!!) :yay:

Cinderella's Royal Table Dinner

Crystal Palace Lunch

Chef Mickey's Lunch

For Food:
Crystal Palace - hands down! We have been there for breakfast and lunch (trying out dinner in January)

For Character Interaction:
Crystal Palace
Chef Mickey's - DD was three-years-old and dressed like Minnie Mouse. Mickey made the biggest fuss over her. Priceless!!

On the downside:
The character interaction at Tusker House for breakfast was the worst.

We did 1 per day (nearly) in our May trip, and I'd say:

Crystal Palace was the best! Great, fresh food with lots of fruit & amazing interaction, the characters didnt skip past us at all.

Second place goes to: Tusker House.
I really liked that they had some non-traditional breakfast options & its a great way to see the Fab 5 without having to wait in lines.

We also did Ohana & Akershus, neither of which were too impressing for us. At Ohana, Mickey walked right past our table and didn't come back, and Akershus was just a little too much money for what it was. Still good though!

We love Garden Grill...great food from The Land area..super teaching moment for the kids. Characters are great-seems like they are there only for you if you sit on lower level-very one-on-one interaction.

We also love Crystal Palace...something food-wise for everyone and the restaurant atmosphere is really different than anything else available in the park. And who doesn't love Eyeore?!?!?

Ironically, the dinner we had at 1900 PF was one of our worst dining experiences ever in WDW. We were given a rickety table squeezed next to a service door by a very rude hostess, plus the food was really awful.

We had that same experience! And I didn't care for the food, but this did have one of the best character interactions. The fairy god mother was awesome.
