What's the best Black Friday deal you walked away with?

Purchased two 50 inch tvs from walmart my husband and son went to pay for them she rang up the 65 inch smart tv then voided it on the receipt and they went in the back to pick them up they loaded them in the the back of the truck when we got home found out the gave us the 65 inch smart tv. I feel really bad about this but hubby and I are too sick to take it back right now I have a bad cold and hubby illness is acting up and I had to put my 17 year old mancoon cat down.

When or If I go to take it back they will be out of the 50 inches. These tvs were for us they are suppose to be a Christmas gift for my adult children.

I find that when my WalMart electronics department is out of something, they'll substitute another brand, same size. I would ask especially since it is their error. Or even call to see what they'll offer and tell them you'll be in later. It would help so you're not standing around so long.

edited because I don't know what to say. Employee rang up TV's then voided them. Did you pay for them??

I got a fitbit from Khols for $39. It was $99 which is the regular price anywhere, but I got $30 in Khol's cash back (will use for a gift for someone) and I get a $25 rebate back (another gift.).

I don't usually shop Black Friday, but I have been wanting a fitbit ALLLL year!:hyper: I'm so excited AND it syncs to my health insurance!

I think the absolute best deal I got was the Innotab 3s Plus tablets from Kmart's pre-black friday sale for Shop your way rewards members for $10 each!!!! I ordered 5 and used my SYW credit so the only thing I paid out of pocket was shipping. :cool1:

The 2nd best deal was the the Disney infinity 2.0 marvel set from Toys R Us for $39.99 w/ BOGO 40% off. Ordered 2 for a total of $64. Not back for a $75 game.

I wondered how you don't notice that one box is significantly larger than the other when loading them in your vehicle. :confused3

I'm not the poster but have you been to Walmart on Thanksgiving? It was the one truly chaotic place that we went. I can see how it would happen....you just want to get your stuff and get out. There's really not time or space to compare box sizes or even think about it. It sounds like the cashier charged them for the wrong tv, realized her mistake and voided it, then charged the correct one but another employee read the receipt wrong and gave them the larger tvs.

I really hope the person who got the two wrong TV's reconsiders going to walmart about the mistake. The person who made the error could potentially lose their job because of this. Or even get arrested. The store could say they purposely loaded the wrong tv. They could claim the associate knew you guys. That could potentially become a felony depending on the amount. I am just saying you could potentially ruin a life of someone who made a mistake. Just something to think of. I can't imagine walmart not getting you your TV's that you paid for. Also, if you got two wrong TV's. That means someone didn't get the TV's they paid for. You got them.

I had a few deals that I'm pretty happy with:

60" Sony Smart TV for $648
Sony Soundbar & Subwoofer set for $76.5 (bf deal & my target discounts)
The PS4 bundle for $339 (bf deal & my target discounts)
Pioneer bluetooth car radio w/microphone for calls $60
Other miscellaneous things went in our buggy too - a couple games that were on sale for $15-25, some Infinity figures for $10 and Gilligan's Island DVD set for $25, lol

Santa was VERY good to us - I told my husband christmas has now come and gone for us and if he wanted we could wrap it all and wait. We had been talking for at least a year about the larger TV (our fine 42" went to my mother in law - hers went out), soundbar and the PS4, so I don't feel like we went *too* overboard by biting the bullet! ;)

Amazon had Green Toys priced on sale and with a glitch causing them to be 75% off. I got 11 toys for $44 minus 4% ebates and 5% chase rewards along with slow shipping MP3 credits for 8 of the orders. Awesome toys for close to free.

On the other side Walmart may have already fired the person over this thinking that they had purposely given the larger t.v.s to a friend. There is tons of cameras in every part of the stores including the backroom.

If security cares they already know who loaded them. If they did not notice they will be happy with the honesty of the person returning them. BF is such a zoo at these stores that mistakes happen.

I got fleece jackets and pj pant bottoms at Old Navy. They were buy one get one free and then I got 50% off on top of that. Each piece ended up being about $4.50.

I got DH two shirts, a 3 pack of undershirts, a 3 pack of boxer briefs, and pajama bottoms for $65 at Kohl's, and got my DD a pretty Xmas dress to wear for the Xmas photo for $20. And of course earned $15 Kohl's cash.

At Meijer, I got $200 in restaurant gift cards (to give as presents to my extended family) and earned $40 in coupons off a future Meijer purchase.

At Target I got DD a cute shirt to wear on Xmas day for $4 (on sale), a cheap pair of dress shoes for the photo ($15 regular price) and $50 in Target GC's for $45 (to be given as gifts to my friends).

And I got the NHL 2015 Xbox game for my nephews at Game Stop for $30.

I only have one more person to shop for and I'm done! :)

I got four ammo cans at Bass pro for $10 each about a $120 savings.

I also got twin sheets for my kids at Macy's for $5 and change/set. This was to me the best deal ever. 4 sets of sheets for $23. :thumbsup2

I got $100 of gift cards for Walk Ons (local sports bar) for $37.50!!! It was supposed to be $50 but I was their first customer and they were having problems with their setup.

2 pairs of tall dressy boots for oldest DD - $13.99 each! Ordered them online on Black Friday and they just arrived today. She is going to be thrilled to be adding them to her work wardrobe :) Also, got a tablet for DS(3) with bumper case for $34.99 (regularly priced $179).
