What's the best beach from Anaheim?

We've got about a 1/2 day free and we're thinking of driving to the beach for the morning.

Can you suggest one that's convenient to DL hotels and would be fun for 10 year old? THANKS!

Huntington Beach or Newport Beach. Huntington is a much wider beach and Newport has better facilities ie. restaurants, shops, boardwalk. The rip at Newport can be tricky.

Huntington would be a good choice. There are plenty of shops and places to eat. Another choice that isn't too far is Seal Beach. Again, lots of shops and places to eat as well. Neither beach is very far at all.
