Can anyone tell me the configuration of the beds in a cabin that will accommodate 4?

Is it two twins, a sofa bed and a "murphy" bed?

Thanks!

It is two twins that can be put together or apart whichever you want.

The Sofa bed and a pull down over the sofa bed.

The Cat 4 (that sleeps 5) have the "Murphy" bed...the one that pulls down from the wall.

The other bed (as mentioned before) pulls down from the ceiling.

One thing to note too about sleeping arrangements, if you're kids are older, or just big. There is a weight limit posted on the pulldown bed, 200 pounds. My DS was 16 on our 12-27-03 Eastern, he was 6'2" and 210 pounds, so he had to sleep on the sofa bed, which was plenty long and plenty comfortable. DD, 12, got the pulldown bed. Worked fine since their first cruise, 2 years before on HAL'S Amsterdam, DS got the pulldown and DD got the sofa bed. But if you have a couple of big teenaged boys, you may have to put mom on the pulldown!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Thanks for the info. I was concerned about the size of the sofa since my oldest DS is 6' tall.

There should be no problem with the sofa/bed. I am 6'1'' and had no problem stretching out on the sofa.

And besides, he may only be using it several hours (my daughter slept 5-6 hours per night on this bed) and willl be so tired that anything will be welcome.

I am putting together my pics from the recent cruise...just returned yesterday...and will provide a picture of the sofa when I come across it.

What about catagory 11 rooms that sleep 4; is there also a pull-down bed?
Thanks

All of the staterooms that sleep four (no matter the category)have the queen bed (that can be separated into twin beds), a single convertible sofa (it doesn't pull out like a sleeper sofa) and the pull-down berth.

We've had discussions before as to the official size of the big bed. It is the size of 2 twins. Normally, it is placed together and there is some sort of a connector piece so that you can't feel the split between the twins. These can be separated if desired into 2 standard twins. There is a sofa that flips (not pull out) into a bed and a bunk that drops from ceiling into a twin. There is a 200 pound weight limit on the bunk.

Just let your room steward know if you want the big bed made up as 2 twins.

Does anyone know if you get a room that sleeps 4 (i.e. with a pulldown bed) if your 4th person is under 3 years of age? Our dd will be 19 months old when we cruise, and we'd like to have her on the sofa and our 4 year old on the pull down bed, but are concerned that they will only give us a 3 sleeper room because of dd2's age.

Thanks!

Your little one still counts as a "person," so you will get a room that sleeps 4.

Thanks! :D

The little princess sleeps with us, but I like having the option to lay her down on her own bed for a nap. princess:
