In less than 10 days we will be in Disneylandparis !!

First of all I arrive at the park gates by 7:45am and wait for EMH opening
The very first thing I do is go to Buzz Lightyear laser blast and ride it at least 3 times before going to tea cups.

I hate to ride POTC first thing in the morning, for the very simple fact that there are loads of people waiting behind the ropes, and once Adventureland gets opened, so many rude guests start running (despite the advisory opening spiel) and stampede as if their lives depended on it. The pushing and shoving alone are enough to make POTC a useless ride for the first 30 minutes after park officially opens. Unless the park is really crowded you can most of the time walk all the way to the loading zone, without stopping, or maybe just from the turnstile point, so I fail to see the need to run and push people around ...
But if you get access to EMH POTC is not an option since it's closed anyway

I don't have any set ideas of what to do before the holiday arrives, and it is definitely different year on year.

My natural instinct is to go in, and walk down to the Castle to get a nice look, then go on something very traditional like IASW or BTMR... This year, however, I've said that we might head straight to the studios and do things in the reverse of how we did them last time. I found that by the time we got to the studios, and the rides there, my DS was already hyped up and getting slightly greedy (if that makes any sense). This time, I'd like him to see those rides and characters first so he is a little calmer.

I really enjoy going slowly and seeing the detail around the parks, so I don't tend to rush anywhere.

I go and get a coffee, look at the wait times and go over to BTM and get a FP and or ride straightaway depending on the queue.

If it's shut I just sit opposite Victoria's and watch the world go by drinking the coffee :goodvibes

I normally turn up around 10.30 if it's closing early or after lunch if it's late but I get to go whenever I wanted at least once a week so I know I'm spoilt :lmao:

The first thing that I do is look at my girls face as we walk down Main Street. That look makes up for all the years of my life, when we had nothing and couldn't afford to go anywhere for our holidays.

This year will be Skyla's first visit to the Magic and we will be able to see that magical look on her face for the first time.

Mancitymickey - that is such a lovely post :goodvibes. And sums up what I guess a lot of us feel like with littlies, who save and save to get there! There was nothing like that when I was little!!

I too drink in the Main Street view of the castle - nothing beats it imo :thumbsup2

Then we buy an autograph book & pen (every time!) and head off to Peter Pan :lovestruc

we do some photos. It's so wonderful when park is not so crowded and you can get clear, beautiful photos and have castle all for yourself only :rotfl: And the head to Buzz lightyear 5 in row rides - DS's favorite ride and for him best way to start the day.

We always arrive in the early evening so walk in and DS will want to have a little chat about the train (hopefully one will be in at the station and we will watch it depart) but will not want to go on yet so we will walk on down Main Street with DS wanting to pause and look at every shop window. He loves the characters in the window displays, especially those dressed as another character – Minnie in Alice’s dress, Goofy in a Tigger costume, that sort of thing. By this time DS will be indicating that he wants to go on the Snow White ride but will probably be distracted by La Tanniere du Dragon if we go to the side of the castle. My eyes will be just for the castle – I love that first view of it each visit and soak it up whether it is by daylight or illuminated in the dark. After SW we will probably try for POTC and then take it from there.

We are planning on getting DD autograph book having a nice slow walk along main street look around the castle make a wish in the well then head to fantasyland and first ride it's a small world! X

I always take a picture of whoever in the family is in front of me, walking under the entrance to Main St. Then we walk really slowly towards the castle still in awe, like the very first time we've been, and usually end up on the Carousel.

I too, love the look on my kids faces :goodvibes

I second the coffee! Can't start the day without a shot of espresso or two. Last time we stayed at the NPB they had Nespresso machines and I took my own capsules, I have a horrible feeling the HNY doesn't have them?

How lucky to visit once a week :thumbsup2

Photo on Main Street - then over to BTM (if it's busy/closed pick up a FP then over to POTC!).
