Whats that smell at the Poly?

Well you're all in luck!! I've personally been producing that scent since 2007 (the first time I can actually remember going to the Poly and saying "I want to stay here") It looks like I've finally found a steady source of other Poly dreams so now I can make the scent commercially available.

While I can't tell you all the secrets, I can let you in on some of the process. My Poly dreams are crushed by hand in an antique Mickey themed mortar and pestle, adding stale pixie dust just a sprinkle at a time (obviously can't use fresh!) The dreams are then carefully stewed, with a touch of grumbling and just a soupcon of mumbling. I'm looking to expand into other hotel scents, like Beach Club and Boardwalk.

Oooh! Sign me up for the scent of "longing for Beach Club"! It's at the top of my wish list now. It only took me 14 years to get to stay at the Poly, and dh will *not* want to stay at the BC....so that dream will never come true, *sniff, sniff*... ;)

Ok, I was just there yesterday morning, and I can definitely say the smell is different this year. Last year, the smell was more like water and foliage. That's the best way I can describe that wonderful smell that has always been Poly to me.

This year is more maybe floral? It's definitely different, but still good.

If you ever find that perfume labeled: Poly Dankness please send me some, I just want to inhale it... ;)

It makes me want to hack up a tropical floor plant and put the pieces in water and let it sit for a couple days. Then I'd mimic the Florida humidity by putting that mix in a bathroom with the shower running. I wonder how close it'd be....

The Polynesian has always been my favorite resort since the first time I set foot in the place. We've eaten at Ohana many times and it always gives me the desire to stay at the Poly. WDW has many "smells" that are unique and really connect to memories, nostalgia and sentiment.

PS; I too cannot afford to stay there and in no way was I offended by the PPs joke. :)
