Actually, AKL has LOTS of activities - they are just different. They are focused on the Animals and Africa instead of water sports etc.
You can link to an earlier post I made about the activities. Down toward the bottom of the thread I list all the different activities and programs that were going on while we were there.
I also think all the young people from African countries who work at AKL are fantastic! They are there just to interact with guests and they made our stay wonderful.
