Two weeks ago we were at IOA with DS 3 and DS 10 months. My mom, both boys and I got in line to ride The Cat in the Hat. I was told that DS 10 months could not ride because he did not have socks on his feet. The conversation went something like this:
RA (Ride Attendant): Does the baby have socks on?
Me: No.
RA: Can he walk 3 steps by himself?
Me: No, he is only 10 months old.
RA: Then I'm sorry but he can't ride.
Does anyone know anything about this policy and why it is in effect? I have never heard of anything like this before. He was able to ride 1 Fish 2 Fish Red Fish Blue Fish without a problem. On the Carousuessel we were told that since he didn't have socks on he would have to ride on the bench/stationary seat. I didn't ask why, but now I wish I had. I can't figure out why he would have to wear socks on a ride when his feet wouldn't even be touching anything. We also visited MK and he was able to go on everything with his little piggies on display.
