I always hear people buying milk, bread, eggs, etc. But what do you really buy? I went today and got (you know... all the basics ;) ):

stuff to make rice krispie treats
stuff to make baked ziti
stuff to make broccoli cheese soup
blueberry muffin mix
bagels
cream cheese
Fruity Pebbles
frozen waffles
frozen pizza
peanut butter (for the dogs :dogdance: )
ice tea mix
bottled water
several boxes of girl scout cookies

What about you?

milk
bread
eggs

The French Toast way of life

in reality..booze and movies

3 bottles Kefir
3 bags bagels
Sushi
Lettuce
Bananas
OJ
1 loaf bread
Cheese
marinara
eggs
apple sauce
applegate farm lunch meat

Toilet paper #1!!!

milk
bread
peanut butter
frozen pizzas
bag of rock salt

Nothing

I usually have plenty of food in the house to last a couple of days. I don't run out to the store just because snow is forecast.

Stuff to make pot roast (since I'll have time to cook)
Slice and bake cookie dough
Canned soup (for warming up after snow play)
Soda

Chips, brownie mix, soda, a couple of flash lights in case the electric goes out(the kids are always playing with ours & we can never find them when we need them), foods for lunches, english muffins (just cause I'm in the mood for them). :) I'm sure I'll think of much more.

My storm list is the same as my regular list. I don't usually add anything just for a storm.

Not exactly groceries but if you have young ones don't forget diapers.

I want to get something to make for a Valentine's dinner with my DBF. Hopefully the storm won't be too bad and we can get to the store on Tuesday night! I can't wait for the snow and I'll be snowed in with my DBF! It doesn't get any better than that! :cheer2:

Plenty of alcohol! :cool1: I don't want to be stuck with DH and 2 boys without it...

The usual: bread, milk, eggs, butter

Then I try to think of a few "easy meals" to fix because if the power goes out our DD and her DH and their DS will be staying with us, because we have a generator.

I buy things like hamburger, macaroni, etc. so I can make goulash, sloppy joes, stuff for grilled cheese sandwiches and soups, breakfast items like bacon, syrup (for French toast), sausage patties, orange juice, stuff to make a big pot of chili or homemade soup, and snack foods too. Oh, and bottled water, extra toilet paper too.
