An iPod is an mp3 player, it's just Apple's brand of mp3 player.

I just got a 60GB iPod this week, and already there's 2318 songs on it. lol. And a good majority of them are illegally downloaded. (shhh you didnt hear me say that...)

But yeah... It's really random too... I have tons of Broadway stuff (I'd say about half... lol i'm a dork... Wicked, Rent, Avenue Q, Les Mis, Phantom, Aida, and many many more), then there's stuff like Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Spitalfield, Green Day, etc., and oldies stuff (Beatles, Beach Boys, 50s/60s pop stuff, Eagles, etc.), and then my guilty obsession of actual pop song (Nsync, BSB, Britney, Christina.. yes, again, I'm a dork)

so yeah... my music taste is veryyy random and weird.

well it depends if your iPod is set up to automatically update, or manually. If it's set to automatically then just put those songs into the folder that your iPod checks for songs. If it's manually then just drag them onto the iPod icon in iTunes.
