For a while now, Gaga has been establishing the concept of a mutual religion between her and her fans, the idea of the all loving, multiversal Mother Monster and her race of Little Monsters. She even mentioned in the Google Goes Gaga interview that she thinks of her fans ‘Like a Religion’.
Her fans are, therefore, like her deciples. The most devout adherants of Gaga and the Gaga manifesto (one might even say the Gospel of Gaga).
In the Bible, Judas (A Deciple) Betrays Jesus four days before Easter. Judas ‘leaked’ four days before its official release.
Gaga is the real source of the leak. This is a performance art piece. She has planned everything to look like one of her Monsters pulled a Judas and betrayed her by leaking the song. But it was her all along, reenacting in 2011 what happened two thousand years ago to Jesus with the release of her new song.
And Gaga, like Jesus, reiterates that shes ‘still in love with Judas’, her fans, her little monsters forever. Reaffirming her position as a boundlessly loving pop DEITY.
Who knows what she’ll do in four days. Die on the pop cross for our sins? Become, once again, a Martyr for fame? Only Godga knows.
