"The film received broad critical acclaim. Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reports that 98% of 159 professional critics have given the film a positive review with an overall rating average of 7.9 out of 10." (How To Train Your Dragon)
"Rotten Tomatoes reports that 89% of critics have given Tangled a positive review based on 170 reviews, with an average score of 7.5/10."
"The film received generally mixed reviews. Review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes reports that 52% of critics have given the film a positive review based on 246 reviews, with an average score of 5.7/10." (Alice in Wonderland)
The reason they both made more money is because Tangled has the Disney name, and Alice in Wonderland is a Tim Burton twist on a well-known classic. So yeah.
I didn't bother with Toy Story 3 because we all know it did better both critically (99% thumbs up with 8.8 average) and financially (highest grossing animated film ever). Just showing how it was praised really.
