Sky 1 isn't a channel that everyone can get. You need something better than freeview to get it. Sky 1 is the reason I wouldn't get Virgin TV, because it wasn't on their list of channels. When it was put on there, I had no more reason to complain and we got it... I do like it, but they need more channels!

we have sky+ HD in the main living room, and I have freeview on the TV in my room, so stuff like BBC 1, BBC 2, itv, channel 4, e4, BBC news, viva, 4music, film4, channel 5, more 4 etc

All I remember on the British television was Sky1 and something else. I forget what it's called.

BBC1 is the main channel, but every TV package thing has all the BBC channels, all the ITV channels, channel and E4 and more basic channels.

You used to be able to just have BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, Channel 4 and Five but then they switched that off and the most basic TV package you can get now is Freeview which has about 60-ish channels including radio channels.
