We watched a video today about the tsunami in 2004. They said at the very end that if part of the mountaintop of some country were to fall off (which apparently is likely to happen in the next however many years) that it would cause a HUGE tsunami and would totally destroy England and cause 13 foot waves along the east coast. Then they said that the chances of that happening isn't as likely as a tsunami hitting the WEST coast and destroying all within miles of the shore.

GLAD I'M ON THE EAST COAST. lol, it'd be best to be in the middle- no coast. LOL jk, they have tornados there. Sooooo... East Coast wins (;
I think it's a volcano in the Canary Islands, or Tenerife (unless they're both the same. It's sad that I take Geography, and barely know places of the world). If it were to erupt, it might cause a landslide which would cause a megatsunami that would destroy the East Coast. Don't remember anything about England, but then most of these things I watch seem to focus on how the USA is screwed. It would make sense if England was destroyed, but I live on a hill, and I'm not near the coast. I'll survive!

At the present time, due to Scotland's continuing to rise as a result of the weight of Devensian ice being lifted, England is sinking. This is generally estimated at 1*mm (1/25 inch) per year, with the London area sinking at double the speed partly due to the continuing compression of the recent clay deposits. A contributary factor is the draining of many stretchs of land.

I live on a hill too :D
and about 30 minutes from the coast.

I have a test on Lord of the Flies tomorrow. It involves identifying who said a certain quote. As Rebecca Black would say, fun, fun, fun, fun

This is what we're reading in English now. I already read the entire thing and hated it. The ending makes no sense, but I can relate to Melinda.

just back off selena for like 2 minutes. I have no problem with her. people have just suddenly started hating her because she started dating Justin bieber. he's never going to marry/date you. and my mum and dad have a big-ish age gap, but so what, does it really matter? he's 17 and she's 19 I think, and my mum and dad have like, a 6 year gap. nbd

I can't find the past papers I did for English D-:

William Golding: Lord of the Flies
EITHER
4 What do you think is Simon’s importance to the novel and how does Golding present him?
(27 marks)
OR
5 Read again from the beginning of the novel to ‘I’ll be out again in just a minute—’.

How does this opening prepare the reader for what is to come in the novel?
Write about:
z later events which are suggested in this opening
z how Golding’s methods and ideas here are developed in the rest of the novel. (27 marks)

Those are the questions in the exam I took. pretty sure I wrote chose the first question, as it was easy to write about at the time.

That sounds familiar.
Hmmm, odd. Because all I hear about is how every other country in the world except the US is screwed. ODD.

Wow. What a gold digger...

ohlordy. i love you for posting this.
because it's true. I certainly HOPE it's true. I'd rather her have dated them all and not have messed around with half of them.

My parents have a big age gap. But my dad is the older one. Which, I dunno, looks better.

Like I said before, Selena and Justin is like me dating a 7th grader.

I've heard horror stories about reading that play in class.

reading shakespeare is tedious.
me and my friend in English:
'what the hell did he say?!'
'man I have no idea'

oh it's awful. it's just like reading words that have no meaning. and they say 'prithee' and 'yellow cross gartered stockings' and 'doth thou art' ROAR I hate Shakespeare

Selena: No, I'm very happy! It's just... at the moment... it's gotten... a little... crazy... and it doesn't really work out considering I'm trying to work on so many wonderful things but then there's a spot light in my personal life that I'm trying to get away from.

Please. You knew from the moment any of this started your whole personal life was going to be broadcasted everywhere.

From these questions, I'm pretty sure I didn't answer the first question, and I definately didn't answer the last one. If I did the middle one, I think I chose the first column.
