What the he** happened at practice today?? I had something really important to do that I couldn't miss, so I was excused. All the other girls on my team are writing as their facebook statuses, stuff like, "Cheer was great today...NOT" and "gotta love cheerleading!" What if........ what if the coaches were complaining about me??????

been there. Done that. I missed a practice before because my mom was having surgery, and a few of the girls threw a fit! It was ridiculous. I think if your coaches realize your situation, then they should be ok with missing an occasional practice. Just as long as a habit isn't made out of it.

This is my first time missing practice, and one of the girls missed three practices in a row. Yesterday, seven girls weren't at practice and my coaches had hissy fits.And only two girls had contacted the coaches and gave them a reason why they were missing practice. One was sick and they other had practice for her confirmation so they were both excused. I do know that two of the girls that missed yesterday had a sleepover, stayed up late and didn't feel like showing up to practice. But this was my first time missing practice and it was a really important thing for school that I had to go to. They usually excuse us if it's an important school, religion, or family function. It may not have been that.....maybe someone got hurt? Or one of the coaches quit? Or there was a rumor going around? A girl on my team is in my homeroom so I'll ask her tomorrow morning.

I always ask one of my teammates if I'm not there. We had this girl this year that missed half of the practices during basketball season and missed 5 games. Most of the time she didn't even have a good excuse. Her mom worked at a dr.'s office, so she always had an excuse, but actually she would be getting her hair dyed or going to the tanning bed. I'm glad she wasn't in my stunt group.
