Post-homecoming
Current mood: anxious

This is a little late for that title, but I need to put this out there. I've pretty much had a crush on my best friend for a while. So when I asked him to homecoming I thought for sure I had yes for an answer. When he said no, I was shocked. I didn't get too upset at first, but I dealt with it. At homecoming, I danced one little slow dance with him. While we were dancing, he said that that would be our first and last dance like that. Later that night, I started dancing with this other guy who is one of my other good friends. He danced almost every slow dance with me after that. We see each other every day at lunch. He is in the group of friends that I sit with. The other day, a friend of mine was sitting between him and me. When that friend got up, my good friend scooted down so he could sit next to me. The other day was our school's halloween dance. He and I danced together almost the whole time. After the dance, we talked until my ride got there. That night, I couldn't sleep because I had butterflies in my stomach the whole night. I couldn't wait to see him the next day. I really like him, and I think he really likes me. He just feels more right to me than the first guy. Now I'm done.

Let's see what you put in your letter for Christmas wishes: 1. pair of chuck taylors; 2. boyfriend and; 3. cd player. Well, I have something to tell you about that cd player and the other presents you asked for. The good news is that an elf is working hard on them right now! The bad news is that its our dear elf friend "Clumsy". We really do love Clumsy (he really does make good presents!) -- I just wish he'd be a little more, well, careful sometimes. (I know he's being extra careful with your presents). Anyway, if you don't get a cd player this year, I hope you won't be too upset with me. On the other hand, I guess you'll know who made you the other presents!?! HO!! Ho!! ho!! Well that *would* be quite a present if I brought you a boyfriend for Christmas! But, as you know, that's one present the elves can't make -- and anyway the last time I stuck a new boyfriend in my toy sack to deliver Christmas Eve they weren't too happy with me by the time I dropped them down the chimney! (Besides, I know you're going to find a very nice boyfriend all on your own without any help from me.)
