I hear ya! My last trip was in August of '09 and it took me until March to get back on the boards. But I am here now and I am loving it!![]()
wow that's great!
It's a lovely song - the lyrics are perfectit gets me choked up like "Remember the Magic" does!
I'm trying to find a version of a song called "it starts with a sketch", again I have it in a piano book of Disney Parks music - it's by Alan Menken & the lyrics are so nice... I'm having no luck on YouTube so far!

I found Remember the Magic!! See previous post! This is turning out to be WAY longer than Share a Dream Come true...it might turn out to be 3 or even 4 songs long so I figured I'd put that one in too!
I don't know "It Starts with a Sketch!"I love Alan Menken! and Howard Ashman, of course! They were the best team!
Sounds like a cool project! I love that Remember the Magic song.![]()
your project sounds great!
my parents have a VHS to DVD recorder & I think it's a great idea.. my sister has made me copies of all our old school plays, some movies and the Ewoks cartoon series (I used to love this as a kid lol.. sort of a disney/starwars tie in hehe!)
btw I found that 'Sketch' song! it was from a show in Disneyland called Animazement

Awesome project!!
I understand how time consuming it is.
I am scanning all the pictures in the house. Once that is done, I will edit them. Then make books with some of them. Been scanning for over a year on and off.
Sounds like you are having fun walking down memory lane and make this video. Can't wait to see the finished product![]()
Hey guys! I'm still here!!
The trip is less than 50 days away!!
Anyway, this whole thing is quite a time consuming (and becoming expensive!) project but I'm having so much fun going through all the memories. I can't wait to show it to you guys when I'm all done!!
OK all caught up! for now at least!
You did a great job on the movies
Speaking of which how do you like the vhs/dvd transer thing I have wanted to get one but never knew if they were worth it. Do you like it? If so mind sharing the brand.
Since seeing you take it back ol school with the pics it gave me the idea to steal LOL and do something like that for my aunts, they used to take my cousin and i to Dland every yr!
You and Tom are in my thoughts, something better will come along. Hugs hun!
for 50 days, can't believe how fast the time is going now!
glad your enjoying making the dvd's it will be worth it to have all those accessible memories for years to come!
and good luck for you and Tom on the job front!
Oh my gosh, that sounds like such a fun project. My parents weren't big video people when I was growing up. I mean, we have the standard 1st birthday party vids of me eating cake, but we don't have any footage from our WDW trips. I wish we did, though. I do know that when I have a family, I will be filming everything. My kids will probably hate me.
I love Remember the Magic!! I wonder if it's on youtube, because now I really want to listen to it.![]()
Nikki!! I didn't know you had started a PTR! I just found the link on Katie's TR with the single riders song - too, too funny!
I so enjoyed your past ones, and can't wait to get caught up on all your plans.![]()
Oh my god, look at my ticker guys! I'm less than 40 days out and I was shocked that my Magical Express tags came in the mail today!!! It seems sooo real now!!
I did a little impromptu Disney clothes shopping yesterday and got a bunch of stuff...mostly for DH. He got a G.I. Joe t-shirt for the 4th! I was so jealous because I couldn't find a good 4th t-shirt. There was one with Olympic rings that said USA but it was a mens t-shirt...I would prefer it in a tank! Still Tom wants to do a wardrobe change half-way through because apparently he has a tradition of wearing a Captain America t-shirt on the 4th...which we'll have to find him still! Other than that, we both got some new shorts and he got a few more polo style shirts and short sleeve button down shirts.
So exciting!!
