What's more American than Disney?!We Brave the 4th of July! TR LINK pg. 55!!!!!!!

I love your update! Your pictures are always so wonderful!!

It cracks me up that you have a constant soundtrack occuring in your head. I've never asked what you teach. :confused3???

Teaching high school English (as opposed to math- not that our math teachers can't - :rotfl:) affords me some opportunities to have kids demonstrate understanding in cool ways. Certain pieces of lit lend themselves to incorporating music. One year, kids selected a Papa Roach song "Last Resort" to accompany a trailer that they made for Steinbeck's The Pearl. (You have to know the novella and the song to appreciate the depth of understanding they had for the main character.)

Only five days! What are you doing to prepare for the trip? (Then, I can copy you in, say, ten days, when I am down to five.)

Great pictures :goodvibes Love the Mickey one too and the pics the captain took (which was v nice of him).

Yes, the captain was very very nice! A great CM!

:banana::banana::banana:
OK i will give you a dance and horray for the job--
:dancer:

BUT NOT for the MOVE!!! :sad2::sad2::sad2:

Soooo relieved about the job. I know you're sad I'm moving up but it'll be okay. I was just thinking of all the stuff I want to give you from my classroom for you to hold onto for 2nd grade.

Great pics!! I'm leaving in 21 days! Getting excited, but a bit sad that we won't be seeing each other. We barely know each other, but I feel a close bond with you lol Speaking of wich.... I'm watching Buffy hehe

I know! Totally stinks we aren't going to be there the same time again...

Oh, I have been on a Buffy rampage!! I seriously blew through seasons 3 and 4 in less than a month! Just started season 5! :thumbsup2 It's getting very serious! Joyce is sick. :(

I taught 2nd grade for 7 years and next year I'll be in 3rd. That sounds like a great idea! I really need to start incorporating music into my lesson plans more...

Ah, the trip! I know, I'm hardly giving any actually planning updates...

Umm, well I have a list of some things to do...mostly working on masters stuff so it can be ready to submit. All I have left to do is pick my clothes, do some laundry and pack! Everything else is in a box in my living room waiting to be packed. I did online check-in, called to arrange a ride to and from the airport....that's really it! I am ready!

You are moving right along with my twins; they will be in third next year. Today, we stayed home from the pool:scared1: I did a million dumb things around the house (cleaned the kitchen cabinet fronts with Murphy's Oil, dusted the top of all pictures in the house - you know the fun stuff :rotfl:). My one daughter got out the list of supplies that came home with her report card and began to prepare her pencil box. "Mom, it doesn't have glue sticks or scissors or it. Can you believe it? Isn't that crazy?" :rotfl2:

Later, she asked if we could make a ticker like our Disney one--I think she estimated 65 days until school. I told her "NO WAY" :sad2: I don't want to know when we have to go back to school. We have been home for exactly one week! Who does this kid belong to? Her twin was napping to Star Wars I when this all went down. :lmao:

Feel lucky she likes school. Most people throw a tantrum! hehehe I always get like her in August though hehe I love buying new supplies.

Haha, maybe she wanted a countdown calendar like phineas and ferb?! Sounds like she's excited! Funny how different the twins are!

Looks great!!!!

I was expecting high 90s but temps don't get much higher than 90 at all!

July 1 - 86
July 2 - 86
July 3 - 88
July 4 - 89
July 5 - 90
July 6 - 91

Still waiting on the last 2 days of the trip but if it keeps with this pattern, shouldn't be too bad at all!!!! Of course, scattered t-storms everyday but that's to be expected!

Hi, I know I'm here at the last minute, but I'm joining in! :) I started reading your PTR last night and got about 16 pages in before I had to stop and go to sleep! I'm going to try to catch up before you leave since I know it's soon but I love your PTR so far, it's so funny and entertaining! :rotfl:

Did you ever decide on what Minnie ears to get? I don't know if I got that far in yet! I'm obsessed with Minnie ears, I bought the bride ears and the sparkly silver ones on my Disneymoon in May and rotated between both of them! I'm hoping they have new Christmas-y ones out in November when I go back! :)

Don't you think Glory looks like a young Kathryn Heigl?

Yeah, a little! Just switched discs, I'm on 5 now too...I LOVE Spike! So glad Riley is gone. I didn't love him.

Oh I'm soooo glad you are enjoying the PTR! It's been kind of boring so I think reading it all in one swoop is probably the way to go!

I haven't officially decided on the ears yet. Our first stop is DTD for some lunch so I'm thinking I'll check at the WOD and get them there. I like to imagine things that don't exist so I have convinced myself that I will be able to find the perfect patriotic ears/headband...

Please read my honeymoon TR! I had those bride ears on nonstop!

I really am so glad you joined..I noticed you on MarieTheCat's PTR.....is your username a reference to Garfield?

Hi Nikki!

thanks for the weather update! rainy in ireland today! so will be looking forward to the sun!:cool1:

I am going to keep my eyes peeled for you and Tom on our Magic Kingdom day especially, as far as I can remember that wa our only day in the same venue? will you be staying for fireworks that night?

p.s. if you see me and I don't wave its because I'm quite short sighted and coupled with a little bit vain results in me not wearing my glasses and being 0% observant! but I will definitelt be on the look out and will show DBF some pictures too! would be so cool if we ran across one another!:goodvibes

and hope you have a really great time!:cheer2: i am just so excited this week!

Look what I just made! Sooo cute!

That's so cool!!!! I love steamboat Mickey on there!

Not too much longer - yahoo!

And here's a little dance for the job :banana::banana:

I'm a Buffy rerun gal myself... Adam - blah and kinda gross, Glory - very silly and more appropriate but c'mon..., Angel - piece of heaven , Spike - hilarious, Dawn - sister, WHAT???, I love the campiness of it all though!

Oooo those temps aren't bad at all. I will never forget when the heat index during my trip a few years ago was like 120 or something ridiculous like that. I would definitely take a cool, comfortable 86 over that.;)

But, inevitably, by the end of July the temps will probably be back up into the upper 90s. :rotfl:

And that thank you note is so cute!!!
