What's missing from WS countries?

here is a thought, since i just returned.
for american pavillion:
how about a new york style deli
seattle market coffee's
philly cheesesteaks
buffalo wings
bbq (both carolina and texas)

I would also add Cinncinnatti (sp?) Chili...which has cinnamon in it and is served over spaghetti.

If you're being sarcastic then I love you. I think they need to DO AWAY with the McDonalds. It makes me sad when I see families sitting outside the bathroom scarfing down their Supersized combo meals. There's a plethora of food to be found in the WS (even burgers in america), the least you can do if trying something else.

I second the idea for Russia and Egypt. Imagine an egyptian pyramid? How cool would that look? Also about America....I think it's ridiculous that they don't have any bourbon or whiskey and I don't even drink it. They make us look bad between the fast food and beer!

Brazil with a nice water ride (and lots of screamming/line cutting/no-speak english teens in mini-skirts )

Congo (pick which one you want) with a nice animal exibit and a snack stand that sells roasted Tree Grubs

As for a second African country, I vote for South Africa. It's huge, beautiful, and very diverse so there are many options for a pavillion. Plus, great food and wine - always a must for a country at Epcot!

Italy needs a cannoli stand!!!!

I've always been a bit disappointed in Italy at the WS. They could do so much more to represent the country especially with all the space they have to work with.

I would like to see a stand in the UK where I can order some chips drenched in malt vineger.

I'd also like to see a gelato stand somewhere in Italy.

Perhaps there could be a water fountain somewhere in Mexico, with a sign warning guests not to drink the water. How's that for authentic!

I agree that it would be great to see Russia there (I'm thinking great Vodkas & caviar). My other additions would be Brazil (think Carnivale) and Australia. I could do without America or Mexico as well. I'm not anti-Hispanic or anti-American (my husband is a military officer) but I'd love to see something more unique in WS.

To those of you who have said they love Magnum bars, I agree. I know I've had them in the UK, but I swear I've had them somewhere else in Europe as well - I just can't remember where.

Do they have a creperie in France?? It's been 4 years since I've been to WDW and I've forgotten. I know I love going to the one in the Paris Las Vegas hotel and getting crepes. Now that is French!!!

But I agree, things definitely need to be updated in WS. I'm sure not a whole lot has changed since Epcot opened.

Italy definitely needs real pizza and real gelato. The stuff they have there is SO not gelato . . . they need a real gelateria in there. I know some previous posters said pizza isn't a big thing in Italy, but it certainly seemed to be in my 2 month long (two trips, each a month, LOL) trips. It was on nearly every menu - and we spent most of our time in non-touristy cities, the kinds of towns that rarely, if ever, see visitors. And even in the touristy places, there were many more Italians chowing down than Americans. Of course my trips were in the offseason, so there weren't nearly as many tourists period.

France does have a little crepe stand. I was trying to decide between that and a funnel cake for my trip splurge. I decided on a funnel cake (hey, it's been a long 5 weeks on South Beach.

Some other additions I was think for WS: In Mexico, it would of been great if they sold mexican hot chocolate. That with some pan dulce...yum! In Italy, I would be really neat if they had a model of the Coliseum.

Some neat additions would be India, like a pp said. Imagine the Taj Mahal, plus all the yummy Indian food. Brazil or Argentina would be nice. Tango dancers, carnivale, a Brazilian "churrascaria" barbecue place would be cool, or an Argentine steak place with chimichurri.

South Africa would be very cool. It has such a diverse culture. Something with Nelson Mandela would be inspiring.

The only place I've had gelato that was remotely close, was at the Aladdin in Las Vegas. Ironically it tasted SO much more authentic than the soft ice cream they served at Bellagio and Venetian.

We found a pizzeria outside of Pittsburgh that is SO good, so authentic. The owner is actually Italian, he makes all the pizzas. . . the margherita was heavenly. Our stuff doesn't even begin to compare. Italians have it all figured out - the simpler the better.

I guess the only country I can speak intelligently about is the U.S., since that's where I'm from and I've only visited 3 other countries, so far (although I am in the early planning stages for a trip to Romania.)

However, that being said, I have been to Ireland and I got to thinking, what did I see there that was different from the U.S.? The first thing that jumped to my mind was the selection of chocolate bars and sweets. And since every country tends to have its own variation of candy, perhaps each of the countries could have a small candy shop with things native to that country.

Oh, and I do think they should add Ireland (and please, nobody post something stating that they have the U.K. already, I don't mean the U.K., I mean the Republic of Ireland.)

i mentioned they should Ireland as well. i think it would be a great idea.

The UK is England,Wales,Scotland and Northern Ireland. I doubt that they would ever add the Republic of Ireland.

i've yet to see anything in the UK pavilion to represent any part of Ireland besides Guiness.
