"I want my Maypo!" the kid said.
Well, my brother and sister thought it would be cute if I jumped from the staircase during my parents dinner party and yell the phrase out!...the only problem was they changed the words a bit. They told me to say, "I want my f*%#ing Maypo! What did I know, I was only 5! My butt hurt for days(from the spanking). How could I forget what Maypo is?!?

I always thought Maypo was Maple flavored oatmeal. It sure is good!

Maypo.........kinda maple-y hot cereal. I remember eating it as a child, and not liking it, but I didn't like any hot cereal. Especially oatmeal, which I love now. (doctored up, of course, with brown sugar, butter, milk)

This thread is so funny because this Christmas I needed an extra gift for my dd and made him a hot cereal basket. I put Mothers Oats (his favorite), Maypo, coco wheats, and some kind of Irish Oatmeal with a big mug type bowl. Every morning he calls to tell me which kind of hot cereal he has. And yes you can get Maypo in Indiana, I got mine at Marsh!!! I think it must be an age thing.
