Last time we went it was at the end September and the time before early July. I can't really remember what July was like crowds wise. We are thinking of going next year maybe may or end of June/early July so I was just wondering what other people's experiences were of these months? My bf wants to go sep/oct again but I'd like to do something different.

Last time we went was June 2010. We went to IOA and spent hours queuing, but that was mainly as our hols coincided with the opening of WWOHP. When we went to UO we were able to do all the rides we wanted in one day, average queue time around 30mins. At AK queue times were around the same, albeit around an hour for the safari.

This trip will be the first time I have gone outside of the summer months. I find them bareable as long as you go being prepared about wait times and the heat.

Very busy and very wet. Id try to avoid them altogether, but if I had to pick, I'd go as early in may as possible.

We loved the first 2 weeks in May, it was very hot but that wasn't the "norm" I don't think

Having spent year travelling in July & August, which I never found to be that bad. We have travelled in May the previous 2 vacations & found it to be incredibly pleasant & good crowd numbers. Go earlier in May or you'll be there over Memorial day when crowds are big, Star Wars Weekends happen in May as well which are good if you like SW. If not, avoiding Thurs-Sun at DHS means crowds are lower there otherwise.

Weather has always been wonderful, having spent 35 days there over the last 2 years in May it has rained on less than 10 of those days. Not all day rain, but no rain at all. We only have 1 or 2 days where it rained for any extended period. Can't guarantee that for next year but is my experience.

All in all, the highest recommendation I can give it: next year you'll find me there in May. :thumbsup2

We've been in the middle of May and the end of May. We just avoided the parks coming up to and ON Memorial Day and I have to say it was our best trip ever. Low crowds, beautiful weather, just perfect! We are going back next May again :) I have heard that the crowds were quite larger this year but I'm hopeful that was just a once off and next year it will be back to perfection! Oh and May is historically the driest month in Orlando so verrrrrry little rainfall! Friends of ours went in July and it rained 12 out of 15 days they were there - not just a few drops but downpours so I don't think July is for me!

Well May is sounding good plus I've found some good flight prices within the first 3weeks. When we do they normally do the star wars weekends? My bf loves star wars and I think he'd enjoy it even tho he says he's not fussed about it.

We've done the first two weeks of May before, not too crowded plus we got to experience the flower and garden festival at Epcot. It was hot (record highs that year haha!). I would definitely go in May again. We've been in July before but it was the very end (28th) of July. Very hot and more crowded than in May but I suppose that's expected with it being school hols :goodvibes

I think it's usually the last 3 weekends in May, or the last 2 & the first in June. The later ones are usually not as busy, but they are REALLY busy. I heard of 4 hours waits to get into the merchandise areas then 90 minute waits at the check outs. I've heard that it's generally a good time, but go fully prepared to wait to do what you want to do.

i agree that may is a good time to go. we went in the last 2 weeks of may last year and the crowds weren't too bad and we really enjoyed the star wars weekend. we even got a sneaky ride on a soft opening of star tours before it had officially reopened after its revamp.
