I have a list someone had posted for the 1 and 2 bedrooms, but I do not have one for a Studio. Do I get anything at check in or should everything already be in the room (ex: dishes, papertowels, etc)?

Thanks and have a great night.

Undercounter refrigerator and microwave. You can ask for a toaster. You will get 4 real coffee cups and the rest of your dishes are plastic or paper.

Iron and table-top ironing board, real drinking glasses, coffee maker are also included. At least they were at OKW a couple of months ago. I don't know if all of the studios have been retro-fitted with wall safes, yet. They may still be working on that.

Depending on your resort, you may have 2 "real" queen size beds (OKW) or a bed and a pullout sofa (all others).

We had a safe in our BWV studio. We had I think 4 real glasses, 4 coffee mugs, a small stack of paper plates, bowls, plastic forks, knives, spoons (maybe 4-6 of each item???), dish soap, roll of paper towels, dish rag, coffee and cream/sugar etc., coffeemaker, toaster, microwave, small dorm size fridge. We also had a vacuum and some starter toiletries. I think we had 2 sets of towels. Can't think of anything else.

After you have used what is in your room, do they give you more plastic plates, etc for free or do you have to pay for them? Do you think I should just bring my own?

Also, since there is not maid service - BTW when is Trash and Towel service? We check in on 8/28 and out on 9/1. Can I ask for the service say on Monday? What do we do with our trash each day? Is their a dumpster located somewhere? Do they leave trash bags?

Sorry, this is our first trip with DVC. I tried to find this info on the members site, but couldn't.

I appreciate your help. Oh, one more thing we are staying at the PC one night (8/270. We they move our luggage or do we have to do it ourselves? When I asked CRO yesterday they told me we would have to get a cab at PC and move ourselves. Does this seem right?

Thanks.

Just got back from a studio at VWL. There was an ample supply of paper plates and bowls, plastic utensils, 4 washcloths, small towels and bath towels. paper towels, tissues. The fridge was adequate with two ice cube trays. Wall safe was in the closet.

We only stayed four nights with points, so there was no trash and towel day. I believe that is only provided if you stay four nights or more. We had full maid service for the night we paid cash.

This studio was fine for a quick trip for the two of us.

Since your stay at DVC is exactly 4 nights, you may NOT get trash and towel. Check your written confirmation from MS, and Trash & Towel day should be listed if you get it. If you do need extra towels during your stay, you can call housekeeping or the front desk for a "towel pack", 4 Bath, 2 hand, 4 washcloths, for a $6 charge. As far as trash, it depends on the resort you're staying at. At OKW small dumpsters are located under stairways in a small closet type room. I'm sure there must be trash disposal conveniently located at the other resorts as well...I just haven't stayed anywhere but OKW.

Bell services should be able to transfer your luggage for you, but it may take the better part of the day to get it from one resort to the other. As far as yourselves, you could get a taxi, or you could take a bus to DtD and transfer to your DVC resort bus.

You could also just have bell services take your luggage, head out for park, and then when you leave the park take the bus for your DVC resort and check-in then.

Paper plates and supplies, you should be able to get more from housekeeping at no charge, just ask. But during the last few stays we had in a studio we had an ample supply.

I'm renting a Studio at OKW Sun thru Thurs, 4 nights, and my confirmation says "Housekeeping Trash/TOWEL service is Wednesday.

You get Towels and Trash on the fourth day of your stay, not after the fourth night.

I usually bring plastic bowls and plates whenever we stay in a studio. Sometimes they are fully supplied with more paper products than you could use others may have less. If you run out though just call and they will supply you with more. My DS eats a large amount of cereal and that means he goes through way too many paper bowls. I use the plastic to avoid any problems, if the rest of the family wants to eat or snack! LOL
I find it easier to microwave the micro-safe plastic rather than the paper when using Easymac or Ragu Express.
