I was getting ready to head to the parks today and stopped to admire what it takes to go all day for some photos and video around disney.. I am curious what everyone's else brings with them and what you think of your choices/what you love, what you want to change in the future.

This is just everything getting charged up to go, I'll post an actual what's in my bag photo when I'm not on my way out the door.

20161224_113455.jpg

What's in the picture (left to right unless noted):
  • Top: 2 Anker PowerPort+ 6 with Quick Charge 3.0 usb chargers. 6 port chargers that offers every fast charging option that exists today.
  • Everywhere: The usb cables are the ankler 1 foot reinforced charge cables. I've found these to outlast what I'm charging and work the fastest. (yes the cable makes a difference).
  • Batteries for the 360 cameras and their usb chargers
  • 3 Kodak SP360 4K 360 video and still cameras.
  • DiMeCard (credit card sized micro sd card holder). Holds up to 8 cards to keep them safe / organized.
  • Sony HDX3000 4K action camera and wasbi brand spare batteries in their charger.
  • Older no longer available Anker 16000ma 2 port portable battery (does not support any fast charging options except the higher amp output that was the original fast charger)
  • Anker PowerCore+ 26800 3 port portable battery (supports all fast charging options out today, including recharging it with the QualComm 3.0 fast charge technology).
Not shown at this time is the variety of tripods, mounts, handles and other stuff I use regularly in the parks. i'll go more into detail with that when I get the full what's in my bag picture after the holidays..

Love:

I highly recommend the powerport chargers. Fast, much less space than a power strip and all the adapters to travel with. They make a of of different models depending on the fast charge technology you need or if you need it at all including a 10 port model.

I can talk about the cameras a lot so if you really want to know more on the 360 cameras and why there is 3 of them, let me know. They do handle stills, including non-360 stills, really good at rapid stills for action shots.

On the Fence/Undecided:

The sony hdx3000 4K is something I only recently started to play with. for the sub-$1000 market (and it's $380USD) it has the best low light ability and a minor mechanical stabilizer in it which is handy for tiny hand held usage/ride video. Downside is no view screen but you can buy the remote with one (costs more than the camera) or your mobile device to see what it's looking at. another downsize is it's not an optical zoom. It's size makes it really easy to clip it onto the tripod when I'm doing 360 to get a second non-360 video at a normal eye height like a parade, etc..

I'm still deciding if I want to keep carrying 2 portal batteries to recharge things around. There is situations i'll power the 360 cameras using the smaller one. Also 4K 360 video the batteries only last about an hour so they get swapped out a lot and recharged. The larger battery is usually the one in the bag charging up whatever I just swapped out. (and it can also get me 5 hours on my phone just charging for 5 minutes). I'm leaning on swapping the smaller 2 port battery for 2 of the ones sold at disney (where you can free swap them for fully charged ones). the problem is I don't just use this at disney so they might not be strong enough for that.

The DiMeCard is a new addition. It does keep them safe and easy to find in the bag. It's not waterproof (the cameras are) and can be tricky to pull them out especially if you don't keep your fingernails long enough to be able to pull it. It's smaller so it fits in the bag and that's probably why it's going to be a keeper.

Recharging:

I can pretty much recharge everything, except the 2 batteries in under an hour like that. I wasn't going for the recharging record but batteries not in use to drain their power so it's quick to get everything topped off. Also in the past I ran into situations where I had an hour to charge but I was using slower charging options and I just didn't have the battery power I needed when I went back out. I like the fast charging in my bag while moving around + really fast topping off of everything. This has worked really well for me since I upgraded my stuff.

So what's in your bag?

No bag.

iPhone 7 in one pocket.

5W charger and lightning cable in the other pocket.

When i need more juice I just look for the nearest AC outlet.
