Does anyone have experience staying at Hilton Head in late March (over Spring Break)? This is our home resort, but we have never gone in the Spring (we usually go in the summer months). We have tenative reservations for the last week of March, 2005.

Are the golf courses crowded? The weather is typically in the low 70's from what I have read. I imagine it's pretty quite compared to the summer.

Many thanks.:D

Spring Break at HH is a busy time- but not like June-August. The island is in full swing with activities and many families will be there to enjoy time together. The beaches will be busy on warm days- even if the ocean is a little too cool to enjoy.

Golf should still be accessible most days. Temps will range from 60's to 80's.

We've been there many times during March and really enjoyed the area. Bike riding is especially fun with flowers blooming and pleasant temps.

Have a great trip!

We were just there in late March. Highs ranged from 60-75 (locals all said 60's was unusually cool - normally 70-80 last two weeks in March). We really enjoyed it - not crowded at all. We had tee times but they appeared to be available. Harbour Town prep for Heritage was in full swing. Very nice time to go.

We were there during Spring Break (mid-March), 2003. DH only played 1 golf course that year, but he didn't feel it was at all crowded. But this year, we went in February only because the golf rates go up at the beginning of March. But the weather was too cold, so next year during Spring Break, we'll be there. Not warm enough to enjoy swimming in the ocean, but perfect weather for other outdoor activities-biking, miniature golf, beach walks.
