What's great at Raglan Road?

I've made an ADR at Raglan Road for our September trip, and I'm really excited about it. What are your favorites there? Don't forget dessert--that's a biggie for me. I'm a chocolaholic, but that Bread & Butter Pudding may win out.

I'm taking my niece, The World's Pickiest Eater, along this time (She'll be 11). Will she find things to eat there? This is my selfish ADR. Most everything else I've booked has been for the others that I'm going with.

Thanks!

but will be glad to come back and answer this then! My older son will get the goujons (is that right???)- the chicken strips. My younger son and I live dangerously, lol, and will be choosing when we get there!

I was there last October, and just made an ADR for our next trip this October. It was great! I loved, loved, LOVED the Bread and Butter Pudding. Just thinking about it makes me salivate. My husband and I also had the Dalkey Duo (battered cocktail sausages with mustard dipping sauce) as an appetizer, and it was delicious. I had the Bangers and Mash as my entree, and loved it. Everyone was very pleased with that meal, but if you don't like a noisy dinner, go early before the evening entertainment starts. :)

The Bread & Butter Pudding is to die for! I had it last year and plan on getting it again this year. My only regret is that I didn't have enough room to finish it. Also, the bread with Guiness dipping sauce that the bring to the table is great---that might be part of the reason that I couldn't finish dessert:blush:

I can't advise on what you should order at Raglan Road, but I can sure advise on what not to order. On my first and only visit there, I made the mistake of ordering something called a "Tender Chicken Sage Sausage Banger." That still ranks as the worst meal I've ever been served at WDW. The meal came with no bread, the sausage was not favorable at all, and was served on a mound of cold mashed potatoes.

I ate a couple of bites, paid the tab, and left to find somewhere else to eat.

I won't be back, and to this day I still don't know what the ##@% a banger is.

I hope y'all have better luck.

The dalkey duo is great. The pork loin is my favorite entree. The steak is great, too. They also have an amazing burger (the best on property if you ask me). The fish and chips is good as well, but really no better than what you can get at the UK in epcot. Not sure what is on the kids menu, but the CS place has a great fried chicken strips, that's probably on the raglan road kids menu.

The Donbrody kiss (or whatever it is called) is great, especially if you like chocolate, the bread putting is the best dessert in m book, and both go surprisingly well with a guiness!

The beer list !
Oh you meant food ? I liked the stew, and like everybody else LOVED the bread pudding, and it comes with chocolate sauce, you won't be disappointed. They do have a dessert sampler that I think has both the pudding and the kiss on it. That's what we had and it was enough for 4 adults to share and have some left over, of course we were pretty full of beer at that point.

I love the Scallop Forest appetizer ! Great flavor, and a great presentation (similar to the Dalkey Duo's presentation). As previously mentioned, I do like their fish and chips, but they are really no better than the ones that are served in Rose and Crown or Harry Ramsden's. . . . .

I've been known to make a meal of just the Culpicinno soup and an appetizer or two. . . . . however, the "It's Not Bleedin' Chowder", the " Keen Eye for Shepherds Pie " (or whatever its called !) , and the "Sod the Stew" are all worth a try, especially the chowder, if you are a seafood aficionado. My husband once made the mistake of trying to steal a taste of my chowder - he got his taste, but his left hand will just take a little time to heal however. :rotfl2:

Can't really comment on "Kevin's Heavenly Ham" or the bangers, as I am not really fond of sausages or ham, but I've had several people in my party who raved about them, especially the ham, (I thought our friend was going into a permanent depression last time we ate there and it wasn't available that evening !).

Enjoy !

The salmon is amazing. I got the maple sauce on the side, and didn't need it as the salmon by itself was delicious. The chips are great as well. The pie in the sky entree is great and so is the smoked salmon appetizer.

I love the food at Raglan Road!

We were there last week and man....was it good!

We each started with a beer flight and we also got the Scallop Forest appetizer. This was probably my favorite part of the meal. The scallops tasted fresh and sweet, and the lime dipping sauce was awesome.

My DBF got the fish and chips (I tried the chips and they were scrumptious!) and he loved it. He then got this dessert (the name of it escapes me) with a white chocolate mousse, dark chocolate mousse and a milkshake. He enjoyed it, but it was very rich.

I got the Keen Eye for the Sheperds Pie, and it was to die for. HUGE portion. I barely put a dent in it. But it was great! Then I had the Dunbrody Kiss for dessert. It was great. I polished mine off and then polished off his dark chocolate mousse!

We are looking forward to making it back in October when we return to WDW. I have no doubt that you'll love it!

I have to ask, what exactly is a Donbrody kiss? I keep hearing how it's a chocolate lovers dream (I'm an insanely huge chocolate fan) Can someone tell me what it is?

I had the Paddy's pork and Bread Pudding both were great. The sausage is just like English sausage and is less spicy than american breakfast sausage but I loved them and that is what the pork is stuffed with. I've seen pix of the seafood chowder and will definately give that a try sometime!! I didn't know about the dessert sampler that sounds great!!

The bread pudding does not come with chocolate sauce and they no longer offer the dessert sampler.

Someone mentioned Kevin's Heavenly Ham, this is my DD's favorite, they took this off the menu too, but they do have it as a special, just ask.

I can not wait for our meal here in August. I just added this onto our ADRs last week, thought DH (an Irishman) would enjoy the atmosphere, but looks like we'll be takin' in more calories than atmosphere!

We ate there on Saturday evening and loved it! My husband had the fish and chips and I had the steak on mashed potatoes and everything was delicious. Two of our kids ordered the macaroni and cheese and the other two ordered hamburgers. They didn't like the mac and cheese because it wasn't their typical mac and cheese, they use Dubliner cheese instead. I tasted it and thought it was yummy, but it was too "exotic" for the kids. For dessert, my husband had the chocolate whiskey cake and I had the Bread and Butter pudding. My husband loved the cake and I think my dessert was the best I had all week. Enjoy, we loved it there and will definitely go there again on our next trip!

when we went last August, my boyfriend had the steak and I had the fish and chips, and it was delicious!

What exactly is in the Dunbrody Kiss? I've seen pictures of the outside, but I don't know what's in the middle.

I wanted to go to RR in June because it sounds like a fun place but I am worried about the food. I love shepherd's pie but not when it is made with lamb...I won't even anything with sausages and don't like scallops. Plus dd who is 14 is the only kid on the planet who doesn't like chicken tenders. I can't go just for the bread pudding alone, has anyone else had this problem and it turned out well?
