We've eaten there before but only shared an appetizer and had a salad before going to MNSSHP. This time we'll have had a full day at AK and be HUNGRY! Is the skillet any good? (I've read some people really don't like it.) What else is good there?

Thanks! :goodvibes

We loved it (as you can see from my signature DH really loved it:rotfl:)
The ribs were wonderful, tender, no fat and full of flavor and best of all- all you care to eat.:thumbsup2

Smores Cheesecake- my favorite dessert of the entire trip:love:

That corn looks so good! I'll be going this time and I KNOW my DBF is gonna LOVE the skillet.

How closely do they watch for plate sharing though? I know the skillet will be too much for me so I'll be getting something else, but I wouldn't mind trying some of my DBF's ribs and cornbread.

Thank you for posting the pictures! I have a res there in a few weeks and now I know exactly what to order :goodvibes

Love the skillet - especially the ribs!

I haven't heard much on the boards about this one, but the pulled pork egg rolls with BBQ-mayo (appetizer menu) were FABULOUS!

I would advice not to get the bottomless milkshake before eating. Last year a couple members of our party did and they were unable to eat because they were so full from the milkshakes!! I really enjoyed the cornbread and the potatos. Yummy!:woohoo:

We loved the skillet. The steak was also VERY good. WP was one of my fave dining experiences this trip!

All we ever get is the "all you can eat" skillet. Sometimes it is very good, sometimes it is very dry - usually it is somewhere in the middle.

OMG the skillet is the BOMB!!! My DS had the child's chicken skillet and he loved it. We got the skillet for 3 and endless milkshakes and were miserable! But its great, there was nothing in the skillet that wasn't dinomite! LOL

The skillet isnt too much to eat. You don't have to eat it all. Depending on the people ordering it, they bring enough just for those. You can get refills of any of it. If you don't think you could eat it all then don't order anything else. Just get the skillet. I really don't think it's right to eat off of it and not pay. I'm sure the servers keep a pretty good eye on folks that try to pull that one.

DH loves the skillet and I love the Ribeye steak. Mmmmm mmmmm, it is very good.

Last time we were celebrating our honeymoon and asked if I could get a side of corn on cob...pay OOP (on DDP), waitress (who was the best in all of Disney) said "don't worry about it honey, your hubby will have plenty, take one of his".

I thought that was nice.

Glad you liked the pictures. the food is wonderful. I too wouldn't recommend trying to share. However, if you really don't want something that is on the skillet then tell them, they will be happy to accomodate. Dec was our first trip and we loved WC so much I cancelled another ressie and surprised DH by going back our last night there. We told them keep the chicken, beans and cornbread but load us up on the ribs and brisket. They did just what we asked and we were in food heaven.:woohoo:
We plan on going back this Dec for 10 more days DH wanted to eat there every other day, I vetoed that but we are planning eating there 3 times.:rotfl:

The ONLY thing we liked there was the bottomless milkshakes. We found the food to be disgusting and the service awful.

Our servers both times were great, no complaints here.
I was worried that my HD wouldn't like it because of all the activity that goes on but he really enjoyed it.

We are eating dinner here the first night of our trip and this was very helpful! We better be in the mood for some serious meat!

I can't wait to try WCC. DH and I have ressies on May 2nd. I am most looking forward to trying the pecan pie. I am a pecan pie junkie!:banana::banana:

OOh and a vanilla shake to wash it down!
