We'll be dining at Artist Pointe for the first time & wondered what was good there? My husband is especially worried since he can't have beef or fish, I on the other hand can eat anything! Lol What are some good appetizers, entrees & deserts?

Lots of good choices at Artist Point (no e). You might want to check out their menu on line, but everything they offer has been very good on all of our visits.

The mushroom soup. Seriously. I only tried it because of the raves on the DIS, and it is fabulous. Even my mushroom-avoiding husband thinks it is delicious!

Also the bison strip steak, the salmon, and the berry cobbler a la mode.

A lovely restaurant, with lots of great tastes!

This!!!!!!!

It's their fried oysters app and its amazing. One of the best apps we've ever had on property

Mushroom soup - even if you think you hate mushrooms. My DH doesn't like mushrooms, and he agreed that the soup was incredible.

I also really loved the salmon.

NOTE1: Artist Point has lately made several changes to revive the old quality of the food
and service, and regained the reputation of the past. It has now replaced Monsieur Paul on
our TS list, and we only eat at five TS eateries. If you eat there, get a window table. The view
of courtyard and lake are romantic at sunset and after dark. In June-2015, Michael Gonsalves
was appointed head chef at Artist Point. With his new menu ideas, it looks like AP is returning
to its previous stellar reputation. We DID enjoy the new selections and food prep. It is
quickly becoming (possibly) the best Disney-Owned TS on property, next to V&A.
.
NOTE2: For a heavenly treat, do the highly prized Copper River Salmon which is available only
during mid May to early-June, with a side of Mushroom Soup. For dessert, we used to LOVE the
AP Cobbler, but since the size and recipe change, it is not on our radar.

I know your husband can't have beef or fish, and those are two popular items on Artist Point's menu. But when we went, everything was amazing. I highly recommend the mushroom soup along as others have done. Our party didn't have entrees, just several appetizers, and they were all really really really good (and my two were very filling). A good friend has gone and had either chicken or the vegetarian offering and has loved both as well.

Everything is gorgeous. I live for the berry cobbler. No seriously, it's an obsession.

The salmon is absolutely AMAZING!!! We are going back in December and that is on the top of my priority list!!!

The pork was exceptional... Next to V&A, it was the best meal we have ever had on property. That and Shulas.

Another vote for everything ..Had the Bison..awesome..My wife had the cedar salmon..Best salmon she has ever tasted, and we come from Scotland...My boy had the fillet steak...awesome..

We're planning on doing doing AP on our last night of our 10th Wedding Anniversary Trip. I've been kinda of ho-hum about this until reading these posts.

What a great choice of restaurant! :flower1:

I hadn't read up too much on AP before my first visit, even though we were actually staying at The Wilderness Lodge. I know, a quite embarrassing rookie mistake on my part. *LOL*

But once there I just knew that I had to see (and taste) what they had to offer. And it blew me away!

So much so that I've made it a must visit everytime I come to WDW. :teeth:

I definitely recommend the salmon, like people before me here. And their berry cobbler for dessert is worth every cent!

Also take the time to interact with your waiter/waitress. They're really friendly and know many interesting things specific to the food and the area in the north west where it comes from. You really are transported to a Lodge restaurant. Had it not been for my lanyard full of pins swaying into view as I bent over to sample my dishes, I could have sworn I was up north and not smack in the middle of central Florida. :earboy2:

DH & I will be there on July 1st for our 21st wedding anniversary. We've never eaten at AP before but now I'm really excited about this ADR, those oysters look great.

I had the Bison there for Christmas dinner 2014 and it was very good. I don't remember what DW and DS had, but they enjoyed their meals as well. It is one of the finer places for food and atmosphere at WDW.

1) Just remember, bison MUST be served RARE.
2) Even medium-rare is too much fire.
3) Beyond "rare" it is dry and almost tasteless.
4) Kind of like Florsheim show leather.
