Whats going on with Vera Bradley

Oh my gosh!!! The people were coming out of the new co op store at DTD with bags and bags of vera this morning was nuts! I even saw people in the parking lot taking pictures of what they bought in the back of their car, must have been putting them straight on eBay. On a side note...the new pattern is very cute!

Argh. I wish there was a limit on the Vera bags, too.

We just returned from WDW, and a cast member was adamant that they limit the quantity a person may purchase, and she refused to believe me when I said I knew for a fact this wasn't true. There is a picture of a personal Disney shopper on Facebook who has two people helping her carry all of her bags filled with VB purses out of the CoOp. If you estimate that when they are flat, one large Disney bag could probably hold 30 VBs, and each of the three people were carrying two FULL bags, that's potentially hundreds of bags that she purchased!

I ordered the Disney Hipster with no problem online on the disney store site. This one has been out for a while though, I wasn't looking for the new pattern. I have been wanting the hipster for a long time and finally got it! I can't wait to wear it to Disney in November!!!!!

One thing to remember is the limit is usually 2 per person per style, take that with the fact that most prob bring friends with them, and their kids and such.
That way each person can buy 2 of everything. That could account for the amount. Also I have known a couple very awesome PS who hardly add a service charge at all.
I agree there are some who really scalp the price but there are also some very nice ones out there.

I have no problem with the personal shoppers! In fact, I have used their services on several occasions. I just wish Disney would more strictly enforce the limit one may purchase, because so many guests come down to Disney World anticipating to buy Vera and Dooney bags, and they're shocked and disappointed when the bags are sold out.

Not anymore! Just ordered the Where's Mickey hipster today! Now I will have both!

My DH is slightly Disney Vera obsessed on my behalf. I have no idea how he did it but I have all the available patterns in the hipster. He assured me he did not pay one cent over retail for each bag. He also purchased a where's Mickey, and midnight with Mickey for my mom. He spent a lot of time online and says that Disney adds products to their site around 3am. The new petals one is my favorite!
