What's going on with Philharmagic?

Philharmagic really does need a little TLC.

Those seats have definitely seen better days. And a thorough cleaning and new coat of paint wouldn’t hurt either.

But I think a pp is right. My guess is it’s being taken out of FP circulation as they are completely unnecessary.

Time will tell.

The 3D has been very wonky for me the past couple times we went. That could use fixing.

They want you all to head to CA for a glimpse of Galaxy Edge and a showing of Philharmagic.

When we visited at the beginning of the month, the video was looking pretty bad in spots and the seats need help badly.

There was FP+ availability for 7/18-21 just now (my window just opened today). I did not get one as it is pretty large capacity and I don’t think one is necessary for this, but they showed up.

I just rechecked my MK days, which are June 30 and July 3, and Philharmagic FPs are still showing as unavailable. Maybe it is being refurbed instead of losing FP+. Strange that they would do that over the 4th when they might want the capacity for the crowded days.

We will be at Disney from June 17- 29, I see no availability for this. If they were doing a refurbishment, wouldn’t it be published somewhere? I’m very disappointed about this. We don’t get to go to Disney very often and it seems so much is closed.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is actually closed when you are there? I know the railroad is being refurbished, and Rafiki at AK, but I am not aware of anything else. I am genuinely asking. I have been on trips when a ton of stuff is closed, and I know how frustrating it can be.

As far as Philharmagic goes, we will see. At this point, we actually have no idea whether it will be open or not.

I love philarmagic, but it's a complete waste of a fastpass.
I hope they do refurbs, as the film is shaky and some elements need to be updated, but I feel the more likely cause is that the fastpass was too unpopular.

Mystery solved. I saw Philharmagic had no FP for our visit to the MK on 6/10 and assumed it wouldn't be open. So I was surprised to see it show up on the App that day with a wait time. So I asked on our way in. They are refurbishing the gift shop where they have a photo studio for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and were using space from the Philharmagic queue for a temporary photo studio. Philharmagic is definitely open. Just no FP, which is no big loss anyway since it's pretty much worthless there.
