What's Going on the First Week of December at DW??

I keep seeing posts that say there is nothing to be had at DW as far as reservations for the first week of December. I just checked the DW website, and every single hotel comes up with having availability. Is it supposed to be real crowded the first week of Dec? We have ressies for Dec 9-17 and are hoping for lite lite lite crowds. Anything special going on Dec 9-17?? I surely do hope not. This is going to be our last trip for awhile, and I want it to be an extra special one. Thanks for input!

The crowds are going to be there from the week after Thanksgiving thru the first week of Dec. The Pop Warner crowds are set to check out on the 9th. If you check the website for the 8th there is nothing available. We are coming down the 9th - 13th, but when I tried to add the 8th to our trip there is nothing. I have been calling everyday this week, and nothing for the 8th. I am hoping for a cancellation, but I have an off site ressie for the 8th just in case.

Definitely keep checking Mickey28. I had a ressie for 8th-16th of dec at poly but we decided we wanted to do an extra room only for 1 night at the pop on the 7th...there was nothing for a few weeks and then 5 days ago I checked and there was a room but i was not able to make the deposit at that time. When I checked later it was gone. I kept checking and 2 days ago I was able to get a room.
