what's going on the first two weeks of may?

I agree!! Hooray to your DH's job as you will now miss all the horrible spring break crowds!! May is fabulous compared to March or April!! Have fun!

Sorry, the only special thing I can think of is the meals for Mother's Day if you end up being there over the actual Day!

I can't help with any info on the entertainment rate, but wanted to say I think May is a wonderful time to go. We will be staying at HoJo May 10th-15th.

But especially if you buy a book for $15 or so, the difference is so minimal. And having the book gives you the other coupons...my western WA book has a coupon for Super Shuttle, which saved me $4 off on my transportation to DLR in December and January. If you're doing other parks, there are coupons for Universal (though I'm not 100% sure it's on the CA Universal, b/c all I'm remembering is it stating Orlando).

But if you don't need those, then yeah, borrowing or even buying a card would work (and, lol, you can shop on ebay through sunshine as well and get 1% back....). :)

My book just has Orlando coupons for Universal. I was hoping they would have had it for the CA one, since I'm looking for a deal on those tickets. But ya, I think it's just Orlando.

I see that the sd50 rate isn't available for May 21st when I checked online. I thought that was strange since it's offered over Memorial weekend. Has anyone had luck getting the rate if they call the hotel directly (even if it's not showing the rate online)?

We will be arriving on Mothers Day. What special things/meals are going on that day?

Thanks :cutie:

I never even thought about Mother's Day! Although, being in DL would be a great present for me! Does anyone know if it is busy that day or if they do anything special?

We were there last year on Mother's Day and it wasn't very crowded at all. Some of the weekdays following it were much more crowded. On Tuesday, it seemed every school group, etc. was there. On Mother's Day, there is a brunch offered, which we didn't attend, and they give out carnation corsages as you enter the park. :)
