What's going on? Now requiring min # of nights for AP/FAN rates at end of Jan!!

Just had several of what seem to me strange answers when looking for discount rates at HRH for last weekend of Jan. Was told that all Ent rates have already been entered into the system and booked (that was fast !!) - then was told that I couldn't get AP or FAN rates for Fri/Sat night stay - only for Sat/Sun nights or 3 nights or more - I know they've pulled the '# of nights limit' on Ent rates before, but isn't it unusual for AP or FAN? Is there something going on that weekend that I'm unaware of - I know it isn't MLK weekend - we were there MLK weekend last Jan and the place was pretty quiet even then! What am I missing?

This seems to be only the case with the HRH and not the RPR or PBH. I tried fiddling with Fri/Sat for my dates and it gave me the APH rate for two nights at the RPR and PBH.

I'm a little annoyed because, well for two reasons..

One, is that they released AP rates for Club at the HRH and PBH, but not the RPR for my dates.

Two, I had a King Bed room booked with the AAA rate and I wanted to switch my rate over to the AP rate (because it saved $160), but I had to give up my King bed for 2 Queens just to change the rate.


What's going on this year, I wonder?
