What's going on April 17 & 18?

The hours are here on the DISboards. Scroll to the top of the page and click on Park Hours. But last time I checked, the extra Sprectros were only posted on the official Disney site. Perhaps someone has had a chance to update the site, it does keep changing like crazy.

We'll arrive on property (first stay as DVC owners -- snagged a standard 1 br at BWV on Sun the 17). I'm hoping to get over as quickly as possible to Soarin' and then at night we have PS at 'Ohana.

This is exactly why I think they have extended hours. If you look, those two weeks that the grad nites are during, have extended hours now!

I was hoping that Grad nights were the ONLY reason for the extended hours & extra Spectromagic parades, but unfortunately I don't think that is the case. To check how busy things might be, I went on the Disney site & tried to book a room for the week of April 17th --- Nothing is available!!! I even changed my dates to the 19-23rd in the hopes that things might slow down later in the week, & still nothing was available. Looks like the resorts are full!!! So, there will definitely be crowds. Right?

Well, nobody really trusts Disney's website. They have been known to show no rooms available, and yet somebody will call and get the night they need. We know that this year will be busier than normal due to the Happiest Celebration begining May 5th.

Guess we need to grin and bear it, and just enjoy OUR happiest celebration
