I'm waiting for my husband to come home so I can find out what he is going to cook! I just don't feel like cooking, but I'm getting hungry! Tony, do you feel like sharing?!
I'm debating whether I should just do it now, since its looking like it might start POURING DOWN RAIN (surprise, surprise!) any minute now, or should I chance it and wait for later.
Anyway, the plan is to have barbequed chicken, hamburgers for the kids, and corn on the cob!
DH picked his Father's Day favorite (and any other day of the year)
Filet Mignon with sauteed mushrooms (might try and make the burgundy sauce like they do at Yachtsman Steak House at Y&BC)
Grilled Asparagus
Mixed greens with black olives and feta cheese with light Greek dressing
Baked potatos with sour cream and butter
and a "regular" salad with Olive Garden Dressing for the kids
and Toasted Head Chardonnay for me and DH
for dessert we got him a "World's Best Dad" ice cream cake from Dairy Queen
We had a cookout with way too much food! It was a father's day feast with burgers, steak tips, ribs, sausages, potato salad, macaroni salad and ceasar salad!
We're going to have pork chops, mashed potatoes and corn. I didn't have lunch so I'm really hungry right now but it's going to be at least another 20 minutes until dinner is ready!
We had to rush my mom to emergency today so my DH on Father's Day ordered himself & the kids a pepperoni pizza & I had some Cheez-it crackers & a banana while I was in ER with my Mom. Tony NJ's dinner sounded soooooo much better!
