I am getting really tired of my breakfast choices. What do you guys eat?

These are my usual options:

scrambled eggs, toast, milk
fried egg, toast, milk
cream of wheat, milk
cereal and milk. (least favorite option)

Work days:
Oatmeal and milk
waffles

on Atkins, I can not many of your choices. If I have anything at all it is and omlet of somekind. Sometimes just a couple of pieces of bacon. I hardly eat breakfast though, even though I love breakfast food, cuz I hate eating right after I wake up. I usually am ready for breakfast about an hour and a half after waking up, and by then I am on the road :(

Today no breakfast...it is Ash Wednesday for me, and I am doing a modified fast. Plain spinach salad with cheese for lunch, and dinner.

You're doing way better than me. I eat the same thing every day: 1/4 C. oat bran with 1C. soy milk, 2 tbsp. wheat germ and 1/4 cup fruit topping. Funny thing is, I'm not sick of it, and when I don't eat it, awful things happen. I get sugar crashes, and my digestive system is "disagreeable". My breakfast is simply a way to get me to lunch, with out having a meltdown. :) Wish I had some better choices for you, but breakfast, for me, is my least favorite meal. Brunch, on the other hand:Pinkbounc ! Especially Palo! WooHoo! Good thing I have limited access to that particular indulgance.;)

Keep the Faith!

I had breakfast at 5:30AM this morning. I do have to eat when I get up and then a snack at 9am.

Breakfast was: 1 slice whole wheat bread w/ff cream cheese and a slice of turkey lunchmeat
Snack will be: oatmeal
Lunch will be: Salad
Snack will be: either a lf granola bar or graham cracker w/pb
Dinner will be: veggie burger and lima beans

Not sure about my evening snack yet, but I have to have an idea for my day or it drives me crazy.

Glo...I would love bacon, but my cholesterol won't handle it. I am on a very lf plan.

My other breakfast choices are:
egg beater w/ 1/2 bagel w/ff cream cheese
yogurt
oatmeal
cereal w/skim milk...but 1 srvg doesn't fill me

I have a very upset stomach, so I had scrambled eggs and toast - it's the only thing I can keep down.

Today Breakfast was Zuchinni & Onions stirfried then topped with cheddar cheese. I also often have a big bowl of my homemade cauliflower soup. And sometimes (on occasion) Fried eggs with Bacon. And other days I even skip breakfast altogether -- or just have some tea or coffee.

Today for lunch is my usual. Chicken Cheesesteak minus the bun! I LOVE this -- and it usually gets me thru to supper time.

Supper tonite is a nice big chef salad with ceasar dressing! And probably some green beans almondine.

And I usually look forward to a SF root beer with a couple tablespoons of heavy cream for TV time snack in the evening. Taste's just like a rootbeer float -- YUM!
:D

I am TRYING to cut my carbs (some) so I had a string cheese and a pear for breakfast.
I don't like eggs, so that really limits my choices. :(

Lunch is going to be tuna with light Miracle Whip and 1 piece of toast. Probably some veggies too.

Dinner - cheese pizza, veggies.

Guess it doesn't sound TOO low carb to most, but it is decrease for ME! :)

My breakfast (when it is not grab and go) is cereal w/ milk and sliced banana's.

When it is grab and go is a Slim Fast shake or bar. Not because I am doing the "slim fast" plan but because they are easy to "grab and go"

This morning I had scrambled eggs (egg beaters), an orange, and 2 pieces of grilled Lite Polska Kielbasa.

Some mornings I eat a Nutri Grain bar, or a bowl of Special K with skim milk. Occasionally I will drink a Slim Fast shake.

I'll throw my choices at you.

ENGLISH MUFFIN W/ GRAPE JELLY AND ICBINB
EGG MOCK MUFFIN (EGGBEATS CHEESE & BRYAN 98% FF 1/2 SLICE
KASHI CERAL W/ MILK
APPLE
BOILED EGG (IN HURRIED MORNINGS)

Glo, I can't eat when I first get up either. I force myself to eat a couple of pieces of bacon or sausage and then about two hours later I will have either eggs fried in butter or some other kind of protein.

Yesterday I was eating a lobster tail dipped in lots of melted butter at 10AM. It was yummy. (It was a left over from dinner the night before).

Low Carb - Atkins OWL

Breakfast choices are usually one of the following:

Flaxomeal hot cereal with 1/4 cup of heavy cream and 1 pkt of splenda sweetner. (YUMMY!)

2 eggs scrambled with 1/4 cup of sharp cheddar cheese, and diced peppers and onions.

2 eggs fried with 4 strips of bacon

1/4 cup of pecan halves, 1/4 cup of blueberries with 1/8 cup of heavy cream and a 1 pkt of splenda... this is delicious too!

Mock Danish (recipe at end of post).

1 slice (1/12th of the large pan) of beachgirls famous low carb cheese cake! This is heaven and so satisfying. Makes a quick breakfast because it is cooked and in the fridge.

believe - the funny thing is... cholesterol does not INCREASE with a higher fat diet... in fact exactly the opposite happens for the majority of people - their cholesterol improves. Mine did - pretty dramatically too. I have suffered from high cholesterol all my adult life (at least since it began being monitorered). I ate low fat and high carb for years and worked it hard to bring it down... all it did was keeping going up. Began low carb... and now I am not only not hungry all the time (fat is filling) - but my cholesterol has significantly improved.

Since I am doing WW my breakfast choices can be almost anything, as long as I count the points. Some of the breakfasts that I eat are:

~2 slices rye bread toast with 1 T. lite margarine = 3 points
~2 slices lite white bread with 1 T. lite margarine = 2 points
~1 c. Smart Start cereal w/ 1/2 c. 2% milk = 4-1/2 pts.
~1/2 c. Egg Beaters, 2 lite white toast w/ 1T lite marg. = 4 pts.
~1 c. sliced strawberries & 1 slice rye toast w/1 T. marg. = 3 pts.
~2 Eggo's with 1 T. syrup = 5 points

I know I need some variety because the above is starting to get boring. I really miss a nice big bowl of cereal for breakfast, but now that I know the portion size, it generally doesn't satisfy me and I don't like spending the extra points.

Ooops.. forgot the recipe for mock danish!

2 oz cream cheese (soften in microwave)
1 egg
1 tblspn splenda
1 tsp lemon concentrate
1/2 tsp vanilla

mix softened cream cheese and egg. Add remaining ingredients. microwave on high for 2 minutes.
A variation I like is to use some cinammon and some butter in the centre when it comes out of the microwave (omitting the lemon from the recipe). Top it with a little Log Cabin Sugar Free syrup (best sugar free syrup there is!). Tastes just like french toast and is induction legal on Atkins.

This recipe makes 1 serving - 272 calories and has 3 carbs.

Most days I don't eat breakfast or have something that is a grab and go like a waful that I can toast and eat as I walk out the door. Today I had a small glass of Chocolate milk and a bowl of special K with red berries cereal. I am hoping that this holds me until lunch !! We shall see!!

I tried eating low carb and didn't lose any weight. Now that I am taking in more carbs I have begun to lose again. When I ate lower fat, 6 yrs ago, my cholesterol was lower. The key is the type of fat I eat. Diet definitely depends on your body type and metabolism.

Wish I had time for eggs and toast. I had a SlimFast Bar. Which is pretty tasty. But I'm already hungry. It's only 9:00! Guess I will go drink a large glass of water. Have a great day.

I am thinking of frying up some ham and putting on a little cheese and having a piece of fruit for breakfast today.
