What's faster from Epcot at night?

We're staying at CBR in August and will visit Epcot one night for dinner and Illuminations. I'm considering driving to B&Y and walking to Epcot instead of fighting the crowds for buses at the end of the night -- will walking/driving take less time than the bus?

Parking at the Epcot Resorts, and then heading into Epcot for the day is frowned upon. Parking is limited at these resorts, and they may issue you a 3 hour parking pass.

As for the buses... You have three choices... watch Illuminations, and the bee-line for the bus. There will be a bus waiting, most likely. 2nd, Watch Illumninations, follow the crowd to the bus. Wait time will be 10-15 mins, give or take. (You won't be the only one going back to CBR)

Third option is to straggle. Enjoy the park as it empties out... things tend to slow down after the mass exit.
