It's that time of year again for me! What's the "best you can do for me before I cancel my service rate"! LOL. .

I have 2 vans one of them came with sirrus and the other didn't. In the one that did i pay 135.00 for the entire year. Well i love my sirrus so i always had wished i could have it in my 07 that wish came true this past may wheni got a free 3 month trial offer , then when that was up i got a offer for 6 months for 29.00 so i jumped at that because i didn't want to get rid of it. They do offer a multicar discount but my billings for my 2 vans come at 2 different times so i'm not sure how this would work.

I just renewed our service at $30 for 6 months. I waited until the second or third notice came that also had cheaper deals than the previous letters.

We cancelled ours a few weeks ago and now we are getting letters in the mail that we can reactivate for $25 for 6 months. (haven't reactivated yet tho) Call them and tell them you are going to cancel and they will offer you a good deal. We have done that a few times.....

Dang, I tried so hard last week. I got a new vehicle and it has satellite for 3 months. The best I could do was $11.99 a month and that is just your basic channels with no talk radio. I said at least 3 times, if there was anything better and she told me, that was the best she could do. If I let the trial period run out, I have a $25 reactivation fee. Maybe I'll wait for the letters to start arriving.

They seem to be sending out letters to many people who have let the trial expire for $25 for six months with no reactivation fee.

I called last week. Told them I wanted to cancel because my promo was up and I couldn't pay their regular monthly charge. She offered me many "deals" which I declined. She finally offered $24 (plus tax) for 6 months. I did renew at that rate.

Were you guys all on "Sirius" or were you on XM? I know they are the same company now, but at least around here it seems like the Sirius people get the deals and the XM people can't get them to budge from their $15 a month rate.

we cancelled ours 2yrs ago when we moved here to Hawii we had it in 2 vehicles and we still get letters to come back for 25.00 for 6 months .. I miss it and would jump on the deals in a heartbeat if they serviced hawaii.. which they don't :(

Ours is $90/qtr for 2 cars.

They're charging you too much. You are supposed to get the first radio at full price, about $13.99 a month and your second radio is supposed to be at $7.99 per month. That is with no specials or deal...at regular rate. It appears they are charging you full price for both your radios.

My renewal a few months ago for two radios at full price was about $280/year if I remember correctly. I cancelled it, and within a short period of time I got the six months for $25 deal too.

Wow you guys are getting much better deals then I am. We pay about $32 per month for two cars. Sounds like I need to pay every 6 months rather than monthly.

Wow! Sounds like we need to call them. I'm paying $34.65 a month for 2 cars. Yikes! I had no idea everyone was paying so little.:faint:

We pay $30 every 6 months per car. One is sirius the other xm. We have the exact same deal for both $25 plus tax & it totals $30.

I have XM. Last time, I called to cancel and they offered me the 1/2 price - $90 for a year. This time I let it run out (the credit card they had on file had expired) and then they started sending me letters and emailing me. Finally they offered me the 6 months for $25+taxes ($29) and I called and reactivated. At 5.5 months I'll probably call to cancel again.

If you are willing to go without it for a while if you have to strong arm them, your best bet is to call and say you want to cancel. They will send you to another sales person who will then start throwing offers at you, generally.

We will have to call. They know we have two cars b/c it is drafted on the same day.

We just bought a new car and our 3 month free period is ending at the end of this month. Just received a letter from them letting us know it's up for renewal. They are offereing the following:

1 month - $14.49 ($15.91 inclusive)
6 month - $29.94 (32.87 inclusive)
1 year - $95.00 (104.31 inclusive)

First off, the 1 year makes no sense to me in the context of what they are offering. I'm not going to go for 1 year at $47.50 per 6 months when I can do $30 per 6 months. Granted, I'm sure there is a big savings if I go for 1 year and if my 6 months auto-renews at a much higher rate for the next six months.

Anyway, I guess I'll renew at the 6 month level and then just cancel in 5.5 months and see what they do for me. It is truly not a necessity to have, but nice when you're on a trip.

Actually, it just occurred to me that I think my DH pays extra to get some Sirius channels so he can hear Howard.:rolleyes2
