What's everyone paying for Bonnet Creek nowadays?

A lot depends on who your rent through and when. When is the biggest. If you have a VIP renter, they are going to give a good deal. The reason is they book it when you want, then at 60-days out, they will rebook for half the points. So, if they rent it to you for $1,400, they essentially trade it in for a cost of $700, increasing what they make.

We are looking at 7 nights in June for about $1,000-$1,100.

Can you rent at WBC for as little as 2 nights? We have a 7 night reservation at Boardwalk Villas, but I'd like to try WBC out for a couple nights but didn't know if there was a minimum rental...

In March We are staying 9 night in a 2bedroom for $1729. The cheapest I found for our dates was $1599, but that was not cancelable and I wanted the flexibility.

I just contracted for 7-nights in a 1BR unit. Since there are only 3 of us, 2BR was not critical. Would I have liked to have a 2BR? Yes. With the price I was given, I could not pass up the 1BR unit. It turns out to be the same price as the cheapest Value room for 3 nights. I confirmed with others I have rented from that the person is not a scammer. I can't tell you what I am paying as agreement with the person renting to me. The savings from the 2BR quotes to what I am paying for a 1BR covered 1 of our annual passes.

$750 for the week starting tomorrow for a 2 bedroom. We used Sky Auction.
when you used skyauction, did you buy a certificate to use, or a bid per night option?

I booked through Vacation Strategy for a 2 bedroom in May 2015 for $716 for the week.

I contacted them again for two separate stays and the weeks had more than doubled in price!! I'll be looking elsewhere, I won't spend more than $90/night for offsite :) I can rent a private villa with 4 bedrooms and a private pool for less than WBC so that's my plan currently.

That time, we bought the week outright - we didn't have to bid. We were specifically looking for Bonnet Creek so we wanted to make sure it worked with our dates. Certificates can work better if you have more flexibility.

We are moving to Orlando soon and my husband has been down there for the last month using Sky Auction. He's moving hotels/condos every week right now. He's used the certificates for several weeks so far. He's found great places for under $300 a week doing this - but it's just him and he's at work during the day so he doesn't need much space. He doesn't have a place for his last week there yet and said it looked like he would need to bid that week.

I have rented at Wyndham Bonnet Creek 4 times since 2009 and usually pay between $100-$120/night for a 2 bedroom Deluxe or Presidential. In 2015, we actually rented a 3 bedroom Presidential for $120/night. I have been looking for a decent rate on a 2 or 3 bedroom for March 2017 and can't seem to find anything less than $200/night. :( I'm thinking that all the postitive reviews here on the Disboards have driven up the prices. Might be time to finally try Sheraton Vistana

Keep looking there are deals to be had. March is a busy time as well with college and school spring break seasons.

We are pating $190/night through Vacation Strategy in March. I shopped around and there wasn't much less than that, and so I went with the option that had a cancelation policy. People on the BC thread seem to be paying much much less in Feb and half as much the week of Easter through Vacation Strategy, so I just concluded that March is expensive this year and very popular, a few travel places I talked to said there was limited availability. There are still some bookings out there on Ebay and Airbnb and VBRO so maybe those will drop in price as it gets closer?!

I am not sure what week you are looking for, but I see 7 night rentals for a 2BR Dlx for $1,000 a week and $1,400 for 3BR Dlx for a random week.

Wyndham has recently changed how they do some bookings in order to shut out mega renters or at least limit them a bit and that could be having an effect too.

I'm a regular Wyndham owner and can't stay with my points for that cheap in any of February so I'd consider it a good price! :)

No joke!!! With how much it costs in points to stay at Bonnet Creek in February, I am thinking we should rent vs using our own points!!!

That's why we never bought into a timeshare. Anytime we considered it over the years, it was always much less to rent than what owners were paying in maintenance fees. And we were never locked into one place or company.

Wyndham in the past year has given owners the opportunity to give back their unit to Wyndham for free. Wyndham has also frozen many mega renters their accounts or made it difficult to book. It is a rather smart move on their part. This move takes the "cheap" rentals out of the rental system, gives them more inventory to sell without building more resorts.

Rates have been above the maintenance fees now. The deals are over unless they are the last minute.

After they started taking the points back, the cost of resale points (if you buy a timeshare on the resale market) are starting to climb. Wyndham Bonnet Creek is in a great location.
